Ratings going down the toilet

Recommended Posts

"Listen, I've kinda liked the brand extension as much as anyone else - it's made Smackdown! a much more enjoyable show (with Guerrero, Benoit, Lesnar, Angle - how could it not be?) - but even I can admit that when it comes to the "casual fan", they may be a little upset or confused as to why they can't see Angle on Raw, or Goldberg on Smackdown. It's this simple - if VinnieMac doesn't want Raw to suck so bad, he may just have to realize that the Smackdown "Fab Four" is the answer. And if he wants to bring more casual viewers to Smackdown, then showcasing Goldberg or HHH may just be what it needs. I'm as tired of HHH as anyone else, but you have to realize that the casual fan may not feel the same way."

Fuck the casual fans up their indecisive, stupid, crap-loving asses. If WWE actually attempted to turn "casuals" into "hardcores" then there'd be no problem.

Ok Vince, you know what you have to do.

Someone get Vince a phone, he has to call Hacksaw Jim Duggan.

And The Warrior

And Razor Ramon

And of course, the greatest WCW of all time....David Arquette.

More reasons why there are problems..

Raw Preview

GOLDBERG IS A HUNTED MAN

Oct. 6, 2003

Upset with losing the World Heavyweight Championship, Triple H has offered a $100,000 bounty to anybody that can rid WWE of Goldberg. It looks like Mark Henry is going to be the first man to try to collect. Can Henry destroy Goldberg?

Also, Shane McMahon's maniacal in-ring style resulted in a trip to the hospital. While recuperating there, Kane brutally attacked Shane, leaving him in a pool of blood. This Monday on RAW, Shane McMahon returns. What will happen when Shane and Kane are under the same roof? Tune in to RAW (Spike TV, 9/8 CT) to find out.

RVD wins the IC title last week in a damn good ladder match but no mention of that. But, hot damn...... SHANE RETURNS, SHANE RETURNS, SHANE RETURNS!!!!!!!

Still amazed that a company with McMahon, Bischoff, and Heyman under one roof can't make ratings happen.

I think before the brand extension goes kaput that Vince will probably bring Russo back once he leaves TNA and give him control of Raw.

I hated Russo's inconsistancy and his utter stupidity when left unchecked, but the guy can book a feud between two midcarders better than almost anyone at creative can book a main event feud.

Give the casual fans some credit. They broke the addiction and HAVEN'T been turning in for the past two years because of the amount of bullshit on the screen.

These little 3.2s are by all of us hardcores who just keep watching no matter what the hell they're fighting over.

Yeah but Vince doesn't listen to them....remember...he only listens to Stephanie and any wrestler(see HHH/UT) lucky enough to get in his ear.

Vince listens to whoever makes him money usually. Russo has made Vince money before, and although he lost a lot of money for WCW we all know that in Vince's World your WCW work experience doesn't count for anything.

The only problem I see is that Russo has heat with Goldberg, IIRC.

EDIT: And before you mention it, HHH did in fact make Vince money at least once when he thought up the "simulcast" Raw/Nitro thing for the WCW purchase. As crappy as the InVasion was looking, a lot of people decided to buy the show on that night alone and it made one of the biggest buyrates ever.

Agreed.

Admit it, most of us "hardcore fans" would watch RAW even if it was Mark Henry and Rosey fighting over the last steak at Golden Corral.
