If you feel like wading through the infantile garbage over at aintitcoolnews.com , Harry Knowles has reported that CNBC reported that the British Tabloids reported that Brosnan was out, and Clive Owen was in. This, of course, flies in the face of the publicly announced contract Brosnan signed to do one (maybe two) more Bond films. But with that many sources, it must be true.

 

Oh and he also posted some shit about Tarantino saying he's wanted to do CASINO ROYALE since after he made PULP FICTION. Sure buddy, that's why on the JACKIE BROWN DVD you told us you've wanted to do RUM PUNCH since after RESERVOIR DOGS.

I also heard that C Owen was going to be the next Bond, after Brosnan completes one more film. I've never seen the guy in any movie but he reminds of George Lazenby--I believe he is Australian as was Lazenby.

He's a lot closer to Timothy Dalton. George Lazenby was handsome and charming.

Personally, the next James Bond should be a guy called Matthew McFayden, who's in a kewl beans drama series called Spooks (MI-5 in America)

Clive Owen has been talked about for years, and he remains the favourite to this day, but I can't see them dumping Brosnan after he already signed to do one more.

 

Its not like he's Tobey McGuire and the filmmakers would be glad to get rid of him.

No one has ever mentioned him but I think Cary Elwes would be a cool Bond. He'd be more in the Moore vein of blond pretty boy types though.
