Howard Stern was talking about the show today. I think it was Bababooey that was at the Survivor party last night or something. He talked about this pornstar, who's name I can't remember wanting to blow Jon because she heard he was going to be on Howard Stern on Wednesday and apparently she wants Howard publicity. So I guess they go into a stairway but too many people are there so nothing really happens. She told Bababooey of the plans, Jon confirmed it. Then, this porn star and Chyna were telling Bababooey that they want to make a porn together.

Mostly, I was just happy Lil lost - and with a 6-1 vote. I have never seen anyone on that show blow the final tribal council like she did. Talk about self-destructing....

To be fair, I don't think that either of them did particularly well at tribal council. But between the whole stigma of Lil being an Outcast and Sandra's alliance there was no way she was winning. And I think that Lil did the right thing taking Sandra. There was no way Lil would have beat Jon - forget what they said at the Reunion, as Jon can talk his way out of (or into) anything, plus the jury tends to favour "playing the game" over being nice - so taking who SHE thought deserved the money more was a good call. And hey, $100K isn't chump change.

 

Sandra was on my local radio station doing an interview this morning. She said she doesn't have an interest in doing the All-Stars Survivor. She also said that she had heard that Jon's grandmother had raised him, and in her mind that made his grandmother the devil woman.

Which is funny, since Survivor All-Stars finished taping LAST WEEK. However, rumour has it that she was an alternate for the show if one of the other 18 dropped out.

 

As always, the final was anticlimatic, but then it almost always is. On only 2 occasions has the Survivor that I thought was the best player actually won, or even made Final 2. By now I think that it's impossible to go the Richard Hatch route and get someone to take you to the finals, you have to win that final immunity challenge to ensure that you get there (a la Brian Hedik).

 

In case your wondering, my list of "best players" goes as follows:

1 - Rich (1st)

2 - Mike (11th, we know why he went out so early)

3 - Lex (3rd)

4 - Kathy (3rd)

5 - Brian (1st)

6 - Rob (3rd)

7 - Jon (3rd)

 

As you can see, by my reckoning 3rd is a VERY popular place to be if you're the best player in the game. So congrats, Jon, you're in distinguished company.

If someone dropped out before the game started, they'd be the designated replacement. Tina was actually an alternate, if my memory serves me correctly.

 

Keith may have been in it, which would probably mean he was there instead of another male player (maybe Tom). I do know that there's 9 men and 9 women though, so the three I didn't get should all be women. If survivornews.net ever gets back up I'll confirm the 18...

Didn't Jonny Fairlplay make some kind of allusion to All-Stars during the Pearl Islands reunion show that indicated that he was a part of All-Stars?

 

If this list is accurate, I think some of it looks pretty weak? They would prefer to have Shii Ann over Sandra? What in the hell did she do that was remotely interesting? I know she kind of got screwed by the non-merge when she had plans to jump alliances, but that never came to fruition so I don't think she warrants a spot.

 

Where is Brian(Thailand)? Surely he's better than half the men on this list.

 

I also think Kelly from the first Survivor DEFINITELY warrants a spot over Sue and some of the other women namely Alicia and Jenna. She quite literally HAD to win four immunity challenges in a row or she would have been voted out. There were no ifs ands or buts about it. For that reason alone I think a good case could be made that she should have won, regardless of the fact that Richard innovated most of the strategy that has been used in every Survivor since.

Shii Ann is on there because frankly she's more interesting than Sandra. And because they needed someone from Thailand, and there are about 3 people (and 1 rack) from that one that would even warrant consideration: Brian, Surfer Robb and Shii Ann (and Erin's boobs).

 

Plus Shii Ann was at least THINKING strategy whereas Sandra was entirely "under the radar". Sandra has a mouth, and that's fun, but the fact is that Sandra won by riding coattails, voting with the majority, by being seen as a total non-threat, and most importantly, because Lil WANTED her to win (in essence, it was a 7-1 vote for Sandra).

 

Brian or Robb would be great, but I like the mix of personalities they've got on there (for the guys). Plus if the Robfather and Rob C go far it's sure to be good television.

So to win Survivor you have to show your whole deck of cards? No my friend, Sandra was smart and scheming. She played and manipulated, and she won. Do not even attempt to put her on the same level as Darrah, cause it's not even close.

My question is this; how did AMBER make it on? She was the penultimate sheep.
