Damaramu 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2003 Well....usually stuff involving Flair/Michaels is gold. They have a chemistry between them. I remember how much I wanted to see Flair/Michaels when they were having all of there confontations last year before Bad Blood. The actual match blew but the stuff leading up was gold. RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2003 Yeah, we have one of the worst promo men vs. some insane old dude.. fantastic chemistry.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2003 It did...somehow. I mean they were building towards the HHH/Flair match and I was like "Screw that! Let's see Flair/Michaels now!" Which we eventually got and it was about what you'd expect from a cripple who thinks he's super man and a 55 year old wrestler.....
Guest Just J Report post Posted October 14, 2003 The main reason for the jump in ratings is everyone was expecting Nash to return to collect the bounty! Well that's why I watched at least. sssshhhhH!!! they may be reading and think your serious... now its probably planned for next week DAMNIT I was serious. And it is planned, but I'm not sure when. RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2003 Maybe it's because I can't stand Michaels and don't think much of Flair (and hate Flair marks) that I didn't really enjoy that.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2003 Well I absolutely despise Michaels...as you know from my many debates. But I still liked the interviews....

Damaramu 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2003 The thing is that most of those guys that everyone goes crazy about working at ECW before anywhere else is...they were only working there to get there name out. They didn't give two shits about the company because they were only there to springboard into the Big 2. People need to stop acting like ECW created all these great stars...it was merely a stepping stone to the top.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted October 14, 2003 Stevie? What the fuck? Get him off this fucking list you god damn Mutant. and Being a part of ECW had ZERO effect on Jericho's talent on the mic as he was fucking mute.

Benoit, Guerrero, Jericho, Melenko, Mysterio were all there for like 3 months and merely used it to collect money... Look at the biggest name ECW ever had...A Over rated stall happy spot botching pot smoking ego manaic (character) that had no CONCEPT of working a match... Papacita 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2003 Haters, Stevie got Victoria over, Austin and Mankind were made in EC F'N Dub. I loved ECW to death, but they did not make Austin. You could make a case for Foley, but not Austin. He was already over in WCW (pre-Hogan anyway), and while he showed a lot of charisma in his ECW run, he was only there for about 3 months, not enough time to even suggest that ECW made him. But I remember the Ringmaster setting the world on fire. He got fired from WCW and went to ECW where he used it as a transition to WWF. Foley wasn't made by ECW. Foley was made by the King of the Death Match.
The Mandarin 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2003 (edited) Flair actually provides pretty good comedy relief for me. Watching him flip out last night on the stick was hilarious. Jericho's program with Austin is actually going somewhere now. Finally we've made progress. I don't know which one owns the other, but right now, i'm SLIGHTLY leaning towards Jericho < Flair. Oh, and I've ALWAYS hated Michaels. Can't stand him. But I'll be damned if he didn't put a smile on my face when he superkicked Goldberg. Guest Choken One Report post Posted October 15, 2003 Austin was being groomed as was pretty much HHH in Mid 1999 before he got fired...so it's not like he was DISCOVERED in ecw...

razazteca 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2003 But the character of Stone Cold and its foundation was made in the bingo hall. Next week's rating will not change much if any. 3.5 forever!
Papacita 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2003 But the character of Stone Cold and its foundation was made in the bingo hall. Not really. Superstar Steve Austin was a cocky, arrogant asshole that thought he was greatest thing ever to happen to the promotion and thought he was better than everyone in it. Stone Cold was a cold-hearted loner that didn't give a damn about anyone but himself. Austin's swearing was the only real similarity between the two characters.
