alfdogg 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2004 54 people picked Dunleavy as their coach? I see the New Year's drinking started early. 110 last night. Just think if Baron hadn't shot 10-25 and 4-10 from the line. 1/2: PG: Sam Cassell SG: Voshon Lenard (Murray goes on the boycott list for a while so I can see how he performs alongside Allen) SF: Kevin Garnett (the matchup with Rahim is intriguing (sp?), but Shareef's never been known as a defensive wizard) PF: Zach Randolph C: Jermaine O'Neal (torched the Celts in the playoffs last year, no reason he shouldn't now since Walker and Battie are both gone) Coach: Flip Saunders
HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2004 88 VGM's thanks to poor nights from Paul Pierce and Richard Hamilton. 1.2 Lineup PG: Baron Davis SG: Larry Hughes(Can score and is facing his old team, the Warriors) SF: Kevin Garnett PF: Carlos "Boozehound" Boozer C: Jermaine O'Neal Coach: Jerry Sloan
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2004 1/3: PG: Jamal Crawford SG: Quentin Richardson SF: Kevin Garnett PF: Tim Duncan C: Brad Miller Coach: Mike Dunleavy (that's a risk I'm willing to take to get KG, Tim and Brad in the same lineup)
Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2004 1/3: PG: Jamal Crawford SG: Quentin Richardson SF: Kevin Garnett PF: Tim Duncan C: Brad Miller Coach: Mike Dunleavy (that's a risk I'm willing to take to get KG, Tim and Brad in the same lineup) Mine's exactly the same, only i have Hubie Brown at coach. The last time i had these five players together they scored 149 VGM's, here's hoping lightning strikes twice.
HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2004 1.3 Lineup PG: Baron Davis(Dropped 33 earlier on the Pacers) SG: Cuttino Mobley(Dropped 32 vs the Jazz earlier this year) SF: Peja Stojakovic(Had to cut down a little) PF: Elton Brand(Had a double-double in both the regular season and pre-season meetings with the Kings) C: Jermaine O'Neal(Got a double-double in 24-11 vs the Hornets earlier this season) Coach: Gregg Popovich

Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 Fucking Shaq gets hurt and fucks my whole day over. 1/4: PG- Jason Kidd SG- Michael Redd SF- Predrag Stojakovic PF- Elton Brand C- Brad Miller Coach- Rick Adelman
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 119 points last night. Garnett had "only" 20 VGMs. My lineup was Cassell, Lenard, KG, Randolph, and O'Neal...and Lenard had the most VGMs with 27. 1/4: PG: Stephon Marbury SG: Kobe Bryant SF: Peja Stojakovic PF: Chris Bosh C: Brad Miller Coach: Terry Porter
Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted January 4, 2004 Exactly 100 VGM's, and i drop a little bit more. 1/5: PG- Stephon Marbury SG- Ray Allen SF- Andrei Kirilenko PF- Zach Randolph C- Jermaine O'Neal Coach- Rick Carlisle
HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted January 4, 2004 111 VGM's thanks to the play of Brand(27), O'Neal(32) and BD(24). Mobley and Peja chipped in with 14 and 16 respectively. 1.5 Lineup PG: Chauncey Billups(Changed b/c he's scored 27 & 23 before on the Celtics) SG: Ray Allen SF: Andrei Kirilenko PF: Rasheed Wallace(Went 24-11 against the Warriors earlier in the season) C: Jermaine O'Neal Coach: Jeff Van Gundy
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted January 4, 2004 95 last night NO thanks to the play of Duncan (7). He shot 3-13 FROM THE GODDAMN FREE THROW LINE. 1/5: PG: Andre Miller SG: Ray Allen SF: Ron Artest PF: Zach Randolph C: Jermaine O'Neal Coach: Rick Carlisle BTW, I doubt if anyone will pick them, but Al Harrington, George Lynch, and Jamaal Magloire were involved in a big brawl in the game last night and all very well could be suspended for their roles. Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2004 (edited) Tim Duncan has been shit lately, i'm avoiding him until he gets it back together, he's too expensive to be playing like he is. I'll stick with the good numbers and cost-effectiveness of Boozer and Randolph, as well as the awesomeness of Elton Brand. Meanwhile, yesterday i pulled down 175 VGM's. Jason Kidd gets 40, while Elton Brand rakes in 44 + 15 for being player of the week = 59 VGM's from one player. 1/6: PG- Sam Cassell SG- Gilbert Arenas SF- Kevin Garnett PF- Zach Randolph C- Brad Miller Coach- Maurice Cheeks Edited January 6, 2004 by Cuban_Linx
HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2004 1.7 Lineup 103 VGM's despite only getting 6 from Billups and Wallace. 162 VGM's the day prior thanks to Elton Brand's monster 59. PG: Baron Davis SG: Ray Allen SF: Peja Stoajkovic PF: Elton Brand C: Brad Miller Coach: Phil Jackson
Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2004 Figures, as soon as i swear off Duncan he goes and posts 40+ VGM's. Another good day today gets me back up to 96%, scoring 130 VGM's. It could have been so much more though, as Phoenix of course trade Marbury right before today's game, giving me a big fat DNP for the PG position. 1/7: PG- Kirk Hinrich (i figure Crawford gets the attention of Eddie Jones, leaving Hinrich up against whoever the hell else Miami have. Hinrich went well the last game v Miami too. Crawford and Arroyo are probably safer picks in the same price range, but may as well take a chance) SG- Kobe Bryant SF- Shawn Marion PF- Elton Brand C- Brad Miller Coach- Rick Adelman
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2004 Well, two nights in a row, I have great nights that are offset by shit nights. 1/5: 116 points (Bryant 43, Bosh 5) 1/6: 135 points (Allen 42, Miller 6) And who the fuck picked Leandro Barbosa? Tonight: PG: Jamaal Tinsley SG: Kobe Bryant SF: Peja Stojakovic PF: Zach Randolph C: Jermaine O'Neal Coach: Rick Adelman Tomorrow: PG: Steve Nash SG: Tracy McGrady SF: Shawn Marion (should have a huge fantasy binge at least until Amare is back) PF: Carlos Boozer C: Brad Miller Coach: Don Nelson (I honestly considered taking Bzdelik against the Lakers, but I don't know for sure if Shaq will be out.) Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted January 7, 2004 Lousy nature. A damn storm postpones the Blazers/Grizzlies game, leaving me screwed with Randolph at the PF position. I hope someone burns down a forest or something, that'll teach mother nature to screw with my VGM team. Thankfully i only slip one place worldwide, unfortunately that one place was also in our group as i drop to 7th. 1/8: PG- Sam Cassell SG- Cuttino Mobley SF- Kevin Garnett PF- Zach Randolph (hopefully no storms interfere this time) C- Yao Ming Coach- Flip Saunders (Portland couldn't win on the road if their lives depended on it) I'll likely change a position or two though, as a vast majority of people will have this lineup. alfdogg 0 Report post Posted January 7, 2004 + 15 for being player of the week Well then I should have got 60 points for Jermaine O'Neal being player of the month for December. 95 points last night, as the state of Oregon couldn't legalize pot for one night in order for the Blazers to melt some snow and get people to their game. Luckily for me, my risk of taking Tinsley at the point paid off for me (21 VGMs). My lineup's the same as Cuban's, except I have Marbury at PG. Could be risky, though...Marbury blamed his subpar game last night on being so excited, and that was a road game. I fear how he'll react in his GARDEN debut. But it's a marquee PG matchup on a nationally televised game, and I don't think Francis can guard him, so it's a risk I'm willing to take.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted January 8, 2004 83 last night as Boozer gives me 5 and Nash, McGrady, and Marion combine to shoot 20-59. 1/9: PG: Jason Kidd SG: Ray Allen SF: Shareef Abdur-Rahim PF: Zach Randolph C: Jermaine O'Neal Coach: Maurice Cheeks
HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted January 8, 2004 138 VGM's last night with virtually the same lineup as the 1.9 one(except Adelman replaces Jackson). I've managed to FINALLY move up as I'm now in 9th. 1.9 Lineup PG: Baron Davis SG: Ray Allen SF: Peja Stojakovic PF: Elton Brand C: Brad Miller Coach: Rick Adelman
Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted January 9, 2004 1/9: PG- Jason Kidd SG- Kobe Bryant SF- Tim Thomas (a bit of a risk, but hosting Miami he should do good) PF- Elton Brand C- Brad Miller Coach- Kevin O'Neill
HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted January 9, 2004 96 VGM's last night despite only getting 8 from Marbury 1.10 Lineup PG: Eric Snow SG: Eddie Jones SF: Kevin Garnett PF: Kurt Thomas C: Jermaine O'Neal Coach: Tim Floyd
Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted January 9, 2004 A good day to be a Rockets fanboy. 107 VGM's with everyone going decent enough, KG as usual the star. 1/10: PG- Sam Cassell SG- Ray Allen SF- Kevin Garnett PF- PJ Brown C- Erick Dampier Coach- Jerry Sloan
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted January 9, 2004 96 points, as I had Mobley, Yao and KG, but got a below average night from Randolph and of course Steph fucks me over. 1/10: PG: Jamal Crawford SG: Ronald Murray SF: Kevin Garnett PF: Tim Duncan C: Jermaine O'Neal Coach: Eddie Jordan (but ONLY so I could get to exactly 100 with the current five players)
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2004 Remember that "below average night" from Randolph? Well, he looks like Chamberlain compared to last night's -1 (yes, NEGATIVE 1) VGM. Not only that, Kidd gets hurt and ends with 9, and Shareef only has 7. Jermaine shot 6-16 and had 4 turnovers, and his 17 VGMs was my HIGHEST total as I end up with 51 VGMs. 1/11: PG: Steve Francis SG: Rip Hamilton SF: Peja Stojakovic PF: Elton Brand C: Ben Wallace Coach: Rick Adelman
Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2004 106 VGM's, which i thought would be a bit below average, but it turns out it was pretty good, up to 96.3% and into 4th in the group. Kobe, Brad Miller and Elton Brand all get in the 20's. 1/11: PG- Chauncey Billups (i can't remember if i've boycotted Billups or not. I'll give him a chance either way) SG- Vince Carter SF- Predrag Stojakovic PF- Elton Brand (Fuck Duncan, i've found a new first choice PF) C- Ben Wallace Coach- Don Nelson
HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2004 Ouch Alf...111 VGM's for me last night thanks to Brand, Peja and Brad tossing in 24, 28 and 27 VGM's respectively. BD and Allen also had decent nights with 14 and 13 VGM's. I've now moved up to 8th place, woohoo! 1.11 Lineup PG: Mike Bibby SG: Vince Carter SF: Paul Pierce(Almost had a triple-double in his past two games) PF: Elton Brand C: Brad Miller Coach: Rick Adelman
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2004 DAMN YOU TO HELL FLIP. TO HELL. I broke my streak of four consecutive sub-100 point nights, but Flip gives me a whopping THREE VGMs in his part. I had 103 VGMs, so the only reason I did break my streak was because the Wizards actually WON (~!) last night. When you have a lineup with Garnett, Duncan AND O'Neal, and have to rely on THAT to break 100, it's about time to pack it in. I'm gonna stick with it though. 1/12: PG: Gary Payton SG: Kobe Bryant SF: Dirk Nowitzki PF: Carlos Boozer C: Zydrunas Ilgauskas Coach: Phil Jackson
HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2004 106 VGM's despite Eddie Jones giving me 1 VGM and not getting the coaching bonus. Garnett and Thomas carried me with 36 and 38 VGM's. 1.12 Lineup PG: Eric Snow SG: Tracy McGrady SF: Lebron James PF: Booozehound C: Zydrunas Ilgauskas Coach: Don Nelson
