The expression "Does the Pope Shit in the woods", as an answer to a question.

I realise that its a "yes" answer, but what does the phrase actually mean

I have never heard that before, and have no idea what it means, but I will now use this awesome phrase at every possible opportunity.

I think the quote is "Does a bear shit in the woods?". Which would mean yes as an answer. I've never heard the Pope one, but I would say that it meant no to the answer of the question asked.

Hey, EVERYONE shits in the woods at one time or another...

True.

My family uses it all the time

It's just a hybrid of the two like Chave said.

Other cool ones are:

Does Dolly Parton sleep on her back and

Does Raggedy Anne have a cloth crutch.

You mean, "Does Raggedy Anne have a cotton pussy?".

I like that version better! :D
