Guest TheHulkster Report post Posted October 22, 2003 I just came home from the show about an hour ago. It was a decent enough show live. All of those spoilers are true. If any of you have any questions, ask them and I will try to answer them tomorrow afternoon. I'm fucking beat right now.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted October 22, 2003 Nope, Gowan is all spots, selling the amazing appeal of the one legged offense that works ONCE and is old hat the second time around. His work failed to impressed me in TNA when he given free reign to do what he wants and he certaintly isn't impressive in WWE. Yes, Billy Gunn of all people is more tolerable because aside from his gimmicks, he isn't a joke circus freak show.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted October 22, 2003 Speaking of old Mr. Ass....where's he been? (I haven't watched SD as often as I use too) I remember him teaming with Noble a bit then....I stopped caring.

Saving 35 bucks baybee. Im sure that The WWE champion will be involved in some way...be it with Benoitm Gowan or Spanky...
the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2003 Lesnar/Holly? That would be gold. See Lesnar break Holly's neck on PPV. That might get my 35 bucks.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2003 Benoit vs. Angle should be to set up Benoit vs. Brock - since Benoit needs a quickie with a player to be considered a legitimate threat to Brock after playing down in the midcard for the best part of a year. the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2003 I can see that. So that will put the best match the WWF will put on this month, on next week's SD. Fuck SS.
the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2003 Side note. Is anyone else not really creaming over the idea of a Lesnar/Benoit match? A few months ago this was considered a dream match online. But after the disappointing matches Lesnar has had with Angle, I am just not believing the idea he can pull out a classic match, that this was hoped to be. Guest Mulatto Heat Report post Posted October 22, 2003 It's a wait and see kind of thing. Which in a way is better than a whole lot of hype.
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2003 I don't see the point in doing Benoit vs Angle, unless they make it for the #1 Contendership and Benoit goes over clean as a fuckin whistle.

Meh, Lesnar/Angle matches were fine for what they were just they were just waaaaaaaaaaaaaay overhyped going in so people ended up being dissapointed but they were still decent. I'd like to see Lesnar/Benoit just because it'd be something new.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted October 22, 2003 Problem is...either Angle or lesnar both been healthy for ANY showdown... Benoit has that 15+ years of expirence and besides Benoit/Lesnar have more similar styles then Angle whom just throws suplexes, poorly sells and does some acrobactic stuff instead of hard style moveset... Benoit/Brock would fit more as opposed to Angle/Lesnar
Bored 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2003 I don't see the point in doing Benoit vs Angle, unless they make it for the #1 Contendership and Benoit goes over clean as a fuckin whistle. That'd be my guess since Benoit has no real issue with Lesnar and as already suggested Benoit needs a big win to be built back up as a legit contender again. RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2003 Um, Benoit is not Angle. I look forward to the match, the feud has me worried. But then again, I did think Brock vs. Angle would be good... that said, again Benoit is not Angle. RRR: Laughing at the poignancy of the Buried Alive match. RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2003 Anyone else find it funny how on the same day Paul Heyman returns, we see Angle/Benoit start up again?
Guest Choken One Report post Posted October 22, 2003 Not at all...Heyman is such a mark for those two... Odd that Rhyno didn't go over TBS for the US title right away
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted October 22, 2003 I miss Heyman as booker. Maybe Ultimo will actually get to be on SD more often than every other month.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2003 So the US Champ and the World Champ lost to Taker... way to value those titles there, Vince. Good god I'm making a list. Rant coming SOON.
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2003 Anyone else find it funny how on the same day Paul Heyman returns, we see Angle/Benoit start up again? Ha- I thought of that Rudo. Heyman ran Angle v. Benoit way too many times. I was so pissed when they did that pointless match on SD! two weeks after the Rumble. What was the point?
Guest Choken One Report post Posted October 22, 2003 Please, When Heyman doesn't have Raven to drive his company or Douglas to throw "Fuck you" bombs...He's a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE booker that put Justin Credible on top with the belt and instead of being the Ron Garvin he was supposed to be...he actually was the CENTERPIECE of the god damn company... Do you people NOT remember ECW post Raven? senseless overbooked run in happy put over the wrong people, flood the cards with 3 way dances and go down the toilet as soon as they got National Coverage. Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2003 That match pissed me off too, Barron. I didn't see the point of Benoit getting pinned clean as hell when he'd tapped out 9 days prior. Good match, but pointless.
the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2003 I get Benoit isn't Angle. I just got a little down on Lesnar after the WM match that was decent and the boring Ironman match. I am looking for him to show something now before buying into him against anyone. And calm down, RRR. Just think, in two and a half weeks you get GP finals goodness. You can hold on. Heyman ran Angle v. Benoit way too many times. I was so pissed when they did that pointless match on SD! two weeks after the Rumble. What was the point? Exhibit A in Why Heyman is not a Genius Booker. It seemed like whenever he was at a loss to come up with a match or main event, he'd just shunt Angle vs. Benoit out there with little point to it. Guest Smell the ratings!!! Report post Posted October 22, 2003 you guys know Heyman probably has nothing to do with the booking, right?
Guest Mulatto Heat Report post Posted October 22, 2003 Then why does he get all the acclaims for the May 2002 - Feb. 2003 period on Smackdown?
Guest Choken One Report post Posted October 22, 2003 Not now he doesn't as he is seemingly the same as Bisch...A character. We are just dicussing how horrible and over rated he is.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted October 22, 2003 Then why does he get all the acclaims for the May 2002 - Feb. 2003 period on Smackdown? Because we got some good matches but the Angles weren't that great...
