Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted October 23, 2003 Because Corey Dillon is a better RB, I guess.
Guest MikeSC Report post Posted October 23, 2003 Because Dallas would benefit the most from a star RB. Also because he knows he'd get ALOT of touches from Parcells. With a star RB, Dallas could become a legit contender over night. Does Dallas need a locker room cancer, though? He's Ryan Leaf without the cheery disposition. He bitches A LOT and has been griping about wanting out of Cincy for years --- even though he signed that 7 year deal a few years back. Dallas is better off without him. So would Cincy. -=Mike
nl5xsk1 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2003 If Dillon is unhappy being in Cincinnati, then maybe the Bengals should trade him. But why does it have to be Dallas ... ... enjoy Arizona, Corey.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted October 23, 2003 you can't trade unless you put him on waivers... Cincy will keep his whining act for the remainder of the season... Apprently Dillon was being scarcastic about Dallas...
geniusMoment 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2003 Trade him to the reds. We need a third baseman, Dillion took batting practice and looked pretty good. Also he could teach adam dunn how to fight and how to not be such a pussy.
geniusMoment 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2003 I am considering starting another reds thread since I am back from my leave. Someone convince me to. It is my goal to post something in the reds thread everyday until the first game against the cubs.
Guest Jdogfour20 Report post Posted October 23, 2003 The Thing is though, Dillon is 1 of the top 3 backs in the leauge if not the best, He ran for 1000 yds in almost evey season and would probley run for 2000 if he wasent on Cincy, COME ON OAKLAND TRADE GARNER FOR DILLON. Please...top 3? Jamal Lewis, Clinton Portis, Preist Holmes, Stephen Davis, and Edgerin James are 5 off the top of my head that are better.
the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2003 Rushing for 1000 yards isn't that much of an accomplishment. Add in the fact he is crossing the RB age limits and he doesn't come near top 3.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted October 23, 2003 WITH THAT SHIT OFFENSIVE line it is... Its a god damn testament to his talent that he can get 1000+ 6 years straight
the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2003 To get 1000 yards you only need to average 60 yards and change a game. Throw in the fact he usually gets one or two big games a year, and that number drops quite a bit for the rest.
Ripper 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2003 WITH THAT SHIT OFFENSIVE line it is... Its a god damn testament to his talent that he can get 1000+ 6 years straight Barry Sanders would get a good 1500+ a year with one of the worse offensive lines EVER. They have a decent run blocking line. Their pass blocking...that is a whole other story.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted October 23, 2003 He actually averages 1250 a year which is a little different then 1000.

the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2003 James Stewart last year ran for 1021 yards with a better YPC than Dillon. Out of the top 12 RB in yards last year Dillon had the lowest YPC at 4.2.
Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted October 23, 2003 Actually add to the fact that Barry was in the Run and Gun style of offense and usually didn't have a tight end and a fullback to help block.
Guest Cerebus Report post Posted October 23, 2003 Maybe he'd like to carry on Smith's mantle in Dallas.
Guest FrigidSoul Report post Posted October 24, 2003 What are the chances that the Bengals and Browns just swap RBs in the off-season? The Browns don't have the O-Line for the type of run style William Green has and the Bengals can get a young back for their continuous rebuilding process. It of course wouldn't be a straight-up deal but I think it would work out well for both Ohio teams
Gert T 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2003 Dillon should just finish the season and then Cincy can trade his ass for a solid RB and/or a #1 round draft pick... I highly doubt the Bengals would get a first round pick, but I'd settle for a second.
the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2003 Throw in the fact that Buffalo is going to have an extra RB available and Duce Staley becoming a FA, and you can have a logjam of RBs pretty quickly to expect much for Dillon. I am not a big fan of Duce Staley, but with Dillon being much more expensive and costing a pick I would prefer Duce.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted October 25, 2003 The real question is WHICH rb will Buffalo keep? The proven Henry or the already twice injured Questionable McGahee...
the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2003 I think they are looking for McGahee to give them any type of reason to keep him over Henry. If he is remotely solid in the second half of the season, with the carries he gets, they will dump Henry.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted October 26, 2003 Corey Dillon was apparently so distraught he got in a car accident on the way to the game today and has been declared inactive for todays game..
