I Have Nothing Left To Add

Recommended Posts

Guest Devin
On the other hand, Devin, I watched the show. I've watched every TNA show from Week 4 and on. And I HATED last night's show. The matches, to me, were rather dull, the wrong ending occurred and/or the wrong people went over, and the only angles of any interest now are Raven/New Church and the New "Franchise." Everything else is "why should I order next week?"

And I can respect that, despite the difference in opinion, because you have actually followed the product. You aren't just blindly lambasting the company, repeating drivel that has already been proven wrong on numerous occasions.

I thought 3 Live Kur winning the opening match was the right thing to do. 3LK's extremely over with the crowd, despite their shortcomings, and are capable of pumping them up to start things off. Siaki's team losing after miscomunication shows the lack of focus and leadership they have without Russo, and furthered the story. Killings was in for a large portion of the match for his side, and Ekmo was impressive as well. In the end, it was too short to do any harm, and served it's purpose.

I thought Dutt/Kash was pretty good despite some sloppiness on Kash's part. It showcased Dutt's strong points and gave the audience a bigger taste of someone they're obviously going to be using in the future. Kash got a strong win after losing last week, and was able to display his complete prickishness, for lack of a better word. They were able to continue the feud with Abyss without ruining the match itself, which I liked. Abyss attacking Sonjay showed he's still a "monster", even though he's no longer with Kash.

The tag title match could have been much better, and the botched finish killed any momentum the match had built. Still, the right team went over, with the losing team still coming out looking strong. From a booking standpoint, you had your champs get themselves a clean win, which they needed.

Personally, I'd like to see Daniels or Sabin as the X Champ as well, but I agree with the ending at the same time. Daniels doesn't really need the X title, and Sabin shouldn't get it back until he's completely turned and has a well built chase. Shane is definitely in the weakest position of the three, and has the most to gain from being champ. I also have a feeling he's going to be the new "franchise", and having him as champ helps that agnle quite a bit.

Raven and Slash put on the best match of this entire feud up until this point. The dog collar matches they've been having have been pretty sloppy and unfocused. This one, on the other hand, flowed alot better, and was just an overall better match. Raven comes out looking strong, and Slash wasn't treated like just a jobber.

I was especially impressed by the interaction between Raven and the Gathering (as well as the last few weeks). They've subtly set up Punk turning, by having him look frustrated or even angry as Raven ridiculed them for helping. I also think Punk being cut off as he finally started cutting a promo last week, was done intentionally to further give him reasoning to turn. Meanwhile, Julio looks more like a sad puppy, wondering why he has to stay outside. He doesn't seem to have any resentment towards Raven, it's like he just wants Raven's attention.

I thought AMW vs. the Naturals was enjoyable, although I wish they hadn't done the Dusty finish. I would have been much happier if they'd had the balls to just give the Naturals the win. This could make for a nice mini-fued before AMW's inevitable title chase.

I wasn't happy with AJ Styles losing the title, but I wasn't exactly pissed either. It fit perfectly with the story they've been telling with Styles from day one. At first he was this young kid with tons of potential, who blew up out of nowhere as the next big thing. He put the X division on the map, and was destined for success. The only two time x division champ, he decides to move on to the world title. Guys like Rhodes and Zbysko tell him he's moving too fast, but he doesn't listen. Russo offers to help him as he gets his first title shot, but Styles turns him down, because he wants to prove he can do it on his own. Problem is, that ends up costing him the match.

So the second time around, he decides to use Russo's help, and he becomes the World Champion because of it. He has a lengthy run as champ, but almost plays second fiddle to Russo at the same time. It's Russo who's always holding the belt, Russo who's always making the calls, Russo who's always doing the talking. He begins getting frustrated once he realizes that Russo is just using him, and he's more of a prop then anything. Just as he's at the breaking point, ready to get rid of Russo altogether, Russo goes and does something stupid and gets himself eliminated from the picture.

Now Styles is finally at the point where he can prove everyone wrong, prove that he's not too young to be NWA World Champion like Flair, Race, Rhodes, the Funks, and all the rest. He can prove that he didn't need Russo all along, that he's worthy of being champion all by himself. Thing is, he loses. So now he comes to the realization that maybe everyone was right, maybe he wasn't ready to be the World Champion (which he wasn't). He goes back to his roots (X Division) and takes things slow this time, working his way up, paying his dues. So when he gets another shot at the title, this time he'll be ready on his own.

Personally, it's proably the best storyline TNA has done, with Raven's ongoing "destiny" storyline as the only thing comparable. They're both almost cinematic in structure, and have much more depth to them then any storytelling going on in wrestling today. Jarrett's much better as a heel anyways, and usually puts on quality title matches. In the end, he's only the champion for two purposes. 1. The upcoming match with Hogan, and 2. to lose it to Raven once he starts going after acheiving his destiny again.

I'm extremely dissapointed in this Jimmy Hart storyline however. Hart has managed alot of shitty wrestlers, and with the exception of Bret, Macho, and Funk (all who are unlikely) there's no one who would even be worth bringing in. So it looks like we could be getting quite a few horrible matches in the coming weeks. Hopefully they come to their senses and at least change the general principle of the storyline, and have him manage people he hasn't before.

See, I'd have had no problem with Styles playing second-fiddle to Russo...

...had Styles not been the NWA World Heavyweight champion. Sorry, but the "wrestlers is being manipulated by manager for manager's personal motives" angle works when the wrestler is NOT the World champion.

That you wanna ban me because I like Batista and not Sonjay Dutt

Trying to be as civil as possible about this...

What the HELL are you TALKING about!?!

So you don't like Sonjay Dutt. Don't worry, I haven't seen enough matches from him to form an opinion myself. I haven't seen his work elsewhere enough. But it's not that you don't like him. It's how you go about it.

Don't get me wrong, if Randy Orton was half the wrestler Sonjay Dutt was, a lot of guys in the WWE folder would be getting negative responces too. Because most of them too can't back up their opinions with facts, and they can't see the positives in anything involving the 'hosses' or the 'vanilla OVW guys'. See any similarities here? I do. The Naturals. So you don't know much about them. I don't know much about Sonjay Dutt, but I'm not going around calling him a jobber nobody. Journalists are supposed to know how to get information on people right? If you did that, you'd know they weren't jobber nobodies. If you paid attention on this board even, you'd know they weren't 'jobber nobodies'.

See I'm more open-minded than most on this board. I have no problem with 90% of wrestlers around. Yes, that includes guys like Batista. I can actually tolerate Batista. Yet despite having similar opinions to you, I'm not being warned about my conduct.

Hell, I'm a major Raven fan too. I'd rather see Raven as champ instead of Jarrett. Again, I don't mind Jarrett...last night he had a good match with A.J. BUT, I don't go into thread after thread after thread in this board and go overboard on the 'Jarrett is bad, Raven's getting screwed' arguement. Open your eyes a little. Aren't 'Journalists' supposed to be the slightest bit impartial? Aren't they supposed to give facts. Aren't they supposed to say 'Oh, Jarrett isn't good for TNA...however he did have a decent match against Styles, and Styles was given a little building up during the match.' Exactly.

You're the type of guy who gives this board a bad name. Just like all the guys in the WWE folder who find the latest bandwagon and jump on it...e.g hating Zach Gowan, loving Gail Kim, despicing Gail Kim.

How can you honestly call yourself a "journalist"

Because I Have a Nice Little NUJ Card with my name on it, a job in a newspaper, and a college radio show

Well that's prestigious. I didn't know a famous celebrity posted on this board. Are you Tony Kornheiser, or Sean Hannity?

Um.......HHH isnt related to the owner of the damn company, but i see your point Chevy, you are a wise man

I never said Triple H was related to the boss, I said he was using his clout...which is a good relationship with the boss through his fiance. Please read the post before commenting on it.

Sorry Dude, I apologise

Tony Kornheiser is a columnist for the Washington Post, has a radio show on ESPN radio every day, and is on Pardon The Interruption on ESPN every day.

Sean Hannity is a Republican political analyst who has a daily radio show and appears every night on Fox News' Hannity and Combs.

See, I was trying to compare you to other well known individuals that appear in multiple forms of media, much like yourself.

And some people DO like Randy Orton.

I think that's the bigger shock.

*opens the Randy Orton fan club*

*Joins*

Orton isn't THAT Bad. Considering Brock got double the push Orton is getting, Orton is actually getting a chance to get over with most fans unlike Brock who was given Goldberg chants while he was World Champ. It wasn't until after HiaC vs. Taker did anyone give a shit about him.

And he still sucks.

Is this gonna turn into one huge debate about which wrestlers i like or dont like, because I'll get bored easily.

Furthermore, If bps is gonna ban me because I prefer one type of wrestler to another, then thats even more pathetic.

As for Brock being able to work worth a shit, at least Batista isnt stupid enough to try whats regarded as the most risky top rope move ever at the biggest WWE PPV of the year, and furthermore, fuck it up

As a further point, Batista has a future in the business, unlike Sonjay "Overrated Velocity Fodder" Dutt

Just in case anyone asks, the only way id tolerate Dutt in the WWE was if he was Tiger Dutt Singh, and teaming with Sheik Shawn Davairi

Damn...That gives me an idea...........runs off the play EWR

That's debatable.

If Batista gets injured much more, he could be looking at becoming the next Glen Kulka.

Don't know who he is?

Exactly.

Big roid monster who got injured too much. Released.

Now appearing as a bouncer at a strip bar near you.

So you're answer to all of this basically boils down to "well, Brock's a stupid head!" How mature.

You are a blight on this forum.

It's pathetic that you don't fucking understand why you got warned in the first place! It's not because people like different wrestlers than you. It's because you're so fucking conceeded and narrow minded. You blantantly ignore everything that anyone says to you and retort back to your psychobabble dribble.

You derail thread after thread with your Jeff Jarrett hate. No one wants to read that shit. Especially in every single goddamn thread in this entire fucking folder.

You're a blind Raven follower. You've proven time and time again that you don't know what you're talking about, and then when things start going against you (as they always do) you turn to either flame baiting or back to the old dribble.

Personally, I don't even think you should've been given a warning. You should thank BPS, in my eyes, for not banning you outright for being a dipshit.

i have nothing left to say

We can only hope. Please, bless us with more of your "journalistic integrity."

And Sabin, fucky. HAIL SABIN!

Oh, and I was going to post this last night, but my connection kept fucking up.

In response to 1inch saying Batista has a future in the business...

Yes, Batista does have a future in this business. But, the question is, which move will his injury cause the banning off? The headlock? The Irish whip? The dropkick?

It's funny that 1inchpunch maintains he is a journalist. In fact, it's laughable.

I say this, because if one were to judge you by your posts, sentence structure, (lack of) capitalization, and constant mispellings, they might mistake you for a janitor. I know I did.

Coming from one journalist to another, kindly piss off, g00d sir.
