Throw the opponent over your shoulder as you fall onto your back." And even in wrestling terms, a uranage is not a rockbottom. There is a turning/pivoting motion.. What they did was more of an STO (SpaceTornadoOgawa). Ogawa being a judo master. Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2003 Um... Triple R and JHawk, isn't the move actually a double STO? Cause a STO is exactly that done onto Zack, except two people doing it. Instead of a single person. At least that's what it's called in any of the SD games, so I might be off with the name, but the game calls it an STO, so I'm assuming that's what it is. Edit: Oh and good review of Smackdown. You pretty much summed up all my thoughts on the whole show. And if there is a booking report for this week, personally, I thought Raw was better. Done with two guys. A lot swifter and more impactful than the version in SD games that's for sure... Hm... I don't think Sakoda(?) and Yang will be able to do that on everyone. And isn't Sakoda like 6'3, wasn't that his discribed height? He didn't really look that much bigger than Yang or Tajiri. Still though, sweet move. I like it. It's closer to a chokeslam, or a bossman slam. The Uranage that Hiro Hase does -with the pivot and the headdropping- could be considered a suplex because it's more akin to a t-bone or hand/arm side suplex. I don't watch judo and have to go with what I know, so the move was sort of but not really a Rock Bottom, so I gave it the closest name I could think of. 2. Ooo, real descriptive. If the name's wrong, I apologize, but it's not like ESPN has judo tournaments on all the time. At least I'm not in Tony Schiavone mode and calling everything a sidewalk slam. By the way, since we're on the subject of judo moves, what does the sambo suplex look like? That's another move that gets confused for a rock bottom and/or a uranage by people. (Not me on this one). RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2003 A sambo suplex (at least, the one from the No Mercy games) *is* a uranage (in Japanese Pro Wrestling terms). Why it's called a sambo suplex, I'm not sure. I know they call the Russian Neck Drop after Alexandre Karelin, the Russian Hook Punch after Bas Rutten (since both Rutten and Karelins faces can be found in the CAW as well as in the japanese version), so Sambo suplex should belong to someone... but then again, Bas Rutten is from Holland, not Russia, so mistakes can be made.
