Dace59 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2003 Fade In --- Leaning up against the padded headboard of his four poster bed, Dace Night reaches behind his head and rubs slowly at his numbed neck, feeling cold water trickle down his back from the ice pack still crushed to the top of his neck and spine. Flicking through the channels slowly, he sighs and thinks back to the grilling the doctor gave him days earlier. "You know you're very lucky to still be walking around after what happened to you. You're even luckier you escaped without lasting injury. Being dropped on the top of your head like that is never going to be good. Then going out and trying to wrestle a few days later. You almost completely collapsed in the ring. Good job you got finished off fast." Flipping through his notes, the doctor reaches up and lights up the x ray on the wall, which crackles for a moment before flaring into life. "You can see around here the swellings that occurred. But thankfully it wasn't in any of the major spinal tissues and you'll recover in a few weeks with the drugs we can pump into you these days. However, you are completely unfit to compete for the next ten days at least. After that, you can make a complete recovery, but I'm sure you know I'm clearing you well before I should. You seem to be far to tough for your own good Mr. Night." Leaning over to the bedside table, Dace picks up a can of coke and the bottle of navy rum. Snapping the can open and throwing back a mouthful before topping the can back up with the rum. Settling back into his nicely formed grove in the sheets. Flicking over to an back to back of the latest SJL show and an SWF recap show, Dace sips slowly on his coke and rum mix as he thinks. ‘Will the Trinity go on? But if it does with who? Danny’s leaving it up to me. I can handle that, but I don’t know if I can handle Va’aiga. Not after how close I was to him. Not yet anyway. Still just like this TNT, Danny knows how to take care of his students.’ Watching the action on the screen and taking notes here and there in the back of his head, Dace tries to work his way down the roster and look for some that would want in and would fit in. Grabbing another can of coke and chugging it back in one go before letting out a loud belch. “Heh, fuck manners.” He smiles to himself slowly. Half watching the clock until Kayin gets back, he bounces a ball of the back of his mind slowly. ‘What’s Danny going to do with Va’aiga? What can I do while that’s going on? Can I help? Who could we ever use for third member, if we even have one? Whatever happens… I’ve got Danny’s back and as so as I’m back in the ring I’ll do everything I can.’ The ball bounces faster and faster as Dace turns the thoughts over in the back of his head… RING RING RING CLICK “Hello….” --- Fade Out Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
