Guest Salacious Crumb Posted October 27, 2003 Report Posted October 27, 2003 Why are the Bashams the tag champs right now. I thought they were a vanilla jobber tag team to be honest. I mean is 1 win over the APA enough for a shot at the gold? Do these guys even have anything remotely considered heat? Why did they feel the need to take the belts off of Los Guerreros and why couldn't they have them to TWGTT again?
Guest Fook Posted October 27, 2003 Report Posted October 27, 2003 I have a feeling the Bashams are just going to be transitional champs between Los Guerreros and the APA.
Guest robvandam420 Posted October 27, 2003 Report Posted October 27, 2003 the bashams are transitional champs. the apa will get a good run with the titles in the near future in my opinion. the bashams really aren't that good. i dont see them with a long reign at all
JN News Posted October 27, 2003 Report Posted October 27, 2003 Shaniqua probably seduced Vince, and convinced him to give the belts to the Bashams.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted October 27, 2003 Report Posted October 27, 2003 The APA's even worse. Nice to see the tag division on SDs getting completely tanked.
Guest ManKinnd Posted October 27, 2003 Report Posted October 27, 2003 Eddy and Chavo are going to split, and I think losing the titles will be one of the reasons.
Guest FrigidSoul Posted October 27, 2003 Report Posted October 27, 2003 The APA's even worse. Nice to see the tag division on SDs getting completely tanked. Hey, from what I've read Raw's isn't any better with the Heatless Frenchies and the Done to Death Dudleys
Guest robvandam420 Posted October 27, 2003 Report Posted October 27, 2003 Eddy and Chavo are going to split, and I think losing the titles will be one of the reasons. for sure... eddie is going to beat chavos ass because chavo will keep telling him he's washed up. this may force eddie to change his gimic and hopefully get a title shot (over vince's dead body)

Hey, from what I've read Raw's isn't any better with the Heatless Frenchies and the Done to Death Dudleys You'd be right. yeah, the raw tag division sucks too. as someone said before, steiner and jericho could really boost that division, but who the hell would they face? maybe if orton and flair formed a team to represent evolution. and if bookdust reunited, it might work.
AndrewTS Posted October 27, 2003 Report Posted October 27, 2003 The APA's even worse. Nice to see the tag division on SDs getting completely tanked. Hey, from what I've read Raw's isn't any better with the Heatless Frenchies and the Done to Death Dudleys Yeah, but Raw's has sucked for a long time. Can you call 2 actual teams a "division?"
Guest Mulatto Heat Posted October 27, 2003 Report Posted October 27, 2003 I'm not complaining. Bashams > APA Crap, that isn't saying much at all. Who is more stale, the APA or the Dudleys?
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted October 27, 2003 Report Posted October 27, 2003 Considering the Bashams are probably jobbing the belts to the APA why even bring it up?
Lil' Bitch Posted October 27, 2003 Report Posted October 27, 2003 Dudleyz I'd say. At least, APA had entertaining backstage segments.
Guest Dynamite Kido Posted October 27, 2003 Report Posted October 27, 2003 But their manager has swollen breasts!!!!!! Are you all blind. They deserve those belts!!! [/sarcasm]
Guest StevieNightHeat Posted October 27, 2003 Report Posted October 27, 2003 The Bashams will more likely job the tag-titles to S2H and Rikishi.
Guest MikeSC Posted October 27, 2003 Report Posted October 27, 2003 But their manager has swollen breasts!!!!!! Are you all blind. They deserve those belts!!! [/sarcasm] Honestly, the Bashams are really solid in the ring. Their work in OVW --- what little I've seen of it --- was rather good. Let's give them a shot. People gripe that the WWE won't push new talent. Let's at least give these two some matches against good competition before we bury them. -=Mike

Now that I've said that, I've already seen the Bashams put on good matches. I watched them on Velocity all summer long and they were mega entertaining. Too many people haven't given the Bashams a chance and judge them soley on their matches with the A.P.A. which is entirely unfair.

Why give them the belts when they haven't been given a chance to shake off the "jobber" label?
notJames Posted October 27, 2003 Report Posted October 27, 2003 The Basham's introduction into the Fed and their initial stint in the tag ranks has made this title win seem unwarranted. Their gimmick isn't all that fleshed out other than they have a manager who dishes out some half-hearted play-punishment. And I have yet to see a convincing victory by them that proved they were more than average grapplers who rely on a third party for their wins. Not exactly enthralling characterization. However, they're not too offending in the ring, and their backstage skit with Haas/Benjamin made them seem more than just bodies in the ring. Considering the overall landscape of the SD! tag division, I'm willing to give them a bit of slack. Either they'll rope themselves a worthy tag champ stint, or hang themselves with their lackluster ways. In any event, I sense a face turn for the former Team Angle and a feud with the Gimps to take back their tag titles. And not for nothing, but I wish they'd use something other than that "ball and gag" finisher. I'd be much more in favor of a "Total Elimination" type move with Danny chop blocking and Doug running in with the lariat. It's more believable than the russian leg sweep. Hell, even that top rope sidewalk slam by Doug would work better.

Why give them the belts when they haven't been given a chance to shake off the "jobber" label? It works better that way sometimes. God knows the New Age Outlaws weren't exactly setting the world afire when they first won the gold. Edge & Christian were viewed as the longshots to win the gold at WM 2K when they won it. Something can be said for "shock" champs who are decent in the ring. -=Mike
Guest CronoT Posted October 27, 2003 Report Posted October 27, 2003 Just about every title on both shows besides the World Title and the WWE Title have been jobbed and cheapened to the point of insignifigance. The only title that has even the smallest amount of respect left is the WWE Title on Smackdown!, because Triple H hasn't ruined that one....yet.
