haVoc 0 Report post Posted October 31, 2003 From Blabbermouth STONE TEMPLE PILOTS/VELVET REVOLVER frontman Scott Weiland was ordered on Thursday (Oct. 30) to report to a live-in detox program followed by six months in a residential drug rehab center, according to Reuters. The court order followed Weiland's arrest on Monday — his 36th birthday — for crashing into a parked car in Hollywood and leaving the scene of the accident. He was charged with driving under the influence. Weiland, who has a history of heroin addiction, which landed him jail time in 1999, was already undergoing a court-ordered drug counseling program. Pasadena Superior Court Commissioner Collette Serio said on Thursday that she would allow Weiland out of the residential facility for a 10-day period starting Nov. 7 for four hours a day so that he can finish recording an album with his new band VELVET REVOLVER.
