Guest Nanks Report post Posted October 31, 2003 I realise this is pretty old, but I'd never seen this one til it was on TV late last night and it genuinely creeped me out a little until I fell asleep about an hour in. But the little kid, Miko Hughes apparently IMDb tells me, freaked me RIGHT out. That kid is good. He may be more recognisable to some from Mercury Rising alongside Bruce Willis. Just looking through his movie credits he hasn't really done anything more of significance since and I reckon that's a damn shame, I reckon he would've been wicked in something like The Ring. He's 17 now though, sadly, I hope he hasn't lost it, he could have potential to play an awesome psycho. On the subject of small children who scare me, why is Daveigh Chase not already credited for The Ring 2???? After her acceptance speech at (insert awards show she won at here, I'm thinking MTV Movie Awards...) she's had me waiting for her return as Samara. Any news on that?? Guest Nanks Report post Posted October 31, 2003 No way! Fuck, that's a tragedy. I couldn't believe how much he freaked me out in that movie last night, and he wasn't so bad in Mercury Rising either... Damnit!

Guest Frank The Tank Report post Posted October 31, 2003 He was in Pet Sematary and even at 3 years old he gives a better preformance in that movie than most child actors today.

LivingLegendGaryColeman 0 Report post Posted November 1, 2003 I remember that kid in Full House and a bunch of other sitcoms. that's exactly what I was going to say. How is New Nightmare in general? I just recently started to watch more and more horror and get into the Freddy movies, Nightmare is supposed to be Freddy coming after the actors right? LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted November 1, 2003 I thought New Nightmare was pretty good. It's nothing like the other Nightmare movies and it's got a pretty original storyline.
Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted November 1, 2003 New Nightmare's decent until Wes Craven shows up and then it's all downhill from there.

JasonX 0 Report post Posted November 1, 2003 How is New Nightmare in general? I just recently started to watch more and more horror and get into the Freddy movies, Nightmare is supposed to be Freddy coming after the actors right? Yes. The plot is that Freddy has somehow found a way to leave his universe and enter a universe based upon the real world and he proceeds to go after the family of the actress who played Nancy in the first film. While this is going on there is the subplot of Englund and Craven talking about reviving the NOES franchise but only if they get the actress to come back and play Nancy again since she's Freddy's "arch-nemesis". It's a mix bag. The reality meets fiction aspect is decent but requires a ton of disbelief to get through. Their treatment of Freddy meanwhile..... The good news is that they give Freddy a new look. He loses the hat and picks up a trenchcoat. The bad news is that Freddy gets his personality sucked out of his skull.

Guest Black Tiger Report post Posted November 2, 2003 Freddy's lack of personality is one of the good things about it. The first NOES was scary because Freddy never really did a whole lot and certainly didn't use any stupid one liners. He was a killer and THAT's what he did. Downhome 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2003 To me, New Nightmare is a great film by the way. Freddy isn't some comedian, he only wants to kill and kill NOW. I love it, and I especially love the death of the baby sitter with that kid (as I said I'm a huge fan of his) looking scared as hell. I love New Nightmare just as much as the original.
