Guest wildpegasus Report post Posted November 3, 2003 I also had always thought he had had a full row of teeth in his WCW days... maybe it's because it seemed like he almost never talked or even opened his mouth I remember him not having a full set of teeth in the WCW days. When he's out on some kind of TV show I've seen him use fake teeth. Personally, I think Benoit should go for the Kawada look with his teeth. If he ever loses any more he should keep them out. It'd make his smile all the more merry.

Guest FrigidSoul Report post Posted November 3, 2003 They had him get a fake tooth/cap for awhile. I don't know why but they did. When he got the cap knocked out he said to hell with it and left it as is
Kaertos 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2003 Actually, I remember reading an interview with benoit where he said he wished it had happened in the ring so there would be some great story associated with it, but it actually happened while he was pushing one of his kids on their swing set. He was distracted (by the other kid or his wife or something) and when the kid swung back he was smashed in the face and lost the tooth.
Guest Dynamite Kido Report post Posted November 3, 2003 I heard he actually lost it in a submission match to the tooth fairy in like 1988 or something.......
cawthon777 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2003 Don't recall the story as to how it happened so one of you guys might be right with what you said. I do remember hearing that the WWF wanted him to keep it out since it added to his image so I'm inclined to believe it was during his first few months in the company. evilhomer 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2003 I always assumed it was from a Raven drop-toe-hold onto the chair because I first noticed it missing during that long fued they had in WCW. Thanks for clearing that up, now my life's work is almost complete.
haVoc 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2003 Actually, Kevin Nash went up to Benoit in WCW and told him he wasn't good enough to be a main eventer and Benoit's jaw hit the floor and that fuckin' tooth popped right out.

Guest Deviant Report post Posted November 4, 2003 Initially, some idiot in WWE saw a gap in Benoit's teeth and made him get a fake one put in. After a few weeks, they came to their senses and said that they wanted the gap toothed look as it was "unique and created a tough guy image that they could put over"... That's for all of you who noticed a full set of teeth in WWE. It's true, you did, only one was fake, hiding the power of the gap from your glares.
