Downhome Posted November 4, 2003 Author Report Posted November 4, 2003 Didn't Downhome also say that the cover should be reserved for wrestlers? If anything Vince>Heenan in that respect as it's his company and he was the heel foil to Austin. A McMahon wouldn't be on the cover, period. There will be a ton of stuff in the book about the family, and how it all started, we do not need them on the cover to pimp the book, let the actual characters do that. I don't know about most of you, but Bobby Heenan to me was a far more likeable character over the heels than any of the McMahons, not to mention that to me he meant more on TV and in the booth than any of the McMahons also. I'm not saying this because I "hate" the family, I don't. It's just a fact that I've never been that big of a fan of them on TV at all. I can't get into any of them, not even Shane as he's currently being used. Hell, I DESPISED Vince when he did commentary, I can't stand hearing him call a match to this day. To me, he is one of the worst at that.
Downhome Posted November 4, 2003 Author Report Posted November 4, 2003 ...and was part of the hottest feud at one of the hottest periods in the company Austin is on the cover, for the most part, because of that whole historic feud. We can't have both sides of all of the historic feuds on the cover.

But if you're gonna part one non wrestler on the cover- it should be Vince. If the book is going to have tons of stufff about them- he should at least be on the cover. It's his company and he was part of the feud that helped turn wrestling around I don't know about most of you, but Bobby Heenan to me was a far more likeable character over the heels than any of the McMahons, not to mention that to me he meant more on TV and in the booth than any of the McMahons also. Yea but Austin v. McMahon was very important to the WWF coming back and becoming the #1 wrestling company. I'm not saying this because I "hate" the family, I don't. It's just a fact that I've never been that big of a fan of them on TV at all. I can't get into any of them, not even Shane as he's currently being used. If you are gonna put a non wrestler on there- You should put the owner of the company on there.

We can't have both sides of all of the historic feuds on the cover. On my cover I have Savage, Hogan, Piper (hottest feuds of the 80s) and Austin, Rock, Mankind (these guys fought a ton). But without Vince- there's no McMahon v. Austin. I don't even think he should be on the cover- but if you want one non wrestler on the cover- it should be Vince
Downhome Posted November 4, 2003 Author Report Posted November 4, 2003 Perhaps for you, not for me. My cover would remain for the employees of the company who were vital on screen characters, the guys who worked FOR the McMahons, not the owner and his family. If your cover is different, then good. But this is my cover damnit, ALL MINE!
ChrisMWaters Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 Personally, the cover for me would be like this: A few pedistools, dimly lit. Each version of the WWWF/WWF/WWE Championship on one podium...
