JN News 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2003 Does anyone here remember Owen Hart when he was in the tag team, High Energy with Koko B. Ware? I'm sure you do. I remember High Energy being one of the hottest new tag teams in 1992, yet they were so underratted, they were never pushed to the tag team titles. cawthon777 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2003 I don't think they had the credibility to get over when the other teams consisted of Money Inc, the Natural Disasters, the Steiners, the Nasty Boys, and the Headshrinkers. The only team they could really trade wins with were the Beverlys. I remember reading an interview with Owen in WWF Magazine (pre-heel turn) where he said he and Koko didn't even get along when they were a team (summer 93, I believe ... after Koko was fired). JN News 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2003 Yeah, I remember reading about why they split up in a small artical in the old WWF magazine entitled, "Low Energy". I also remember in 1993, after he came back from a brief abscense, "The Rocket" started coming to the ring wearing a blue outfit that was very simular to his brother, Bret. Blue jacket, blue tights & singlet, and white boots Bret wore pink & black, while Owen wore blue & white. Owen wore blue & white all the way up to Survivor Series 1993, where he changed his outfits to the style he wore up till' the day he died. Also, while Owen used Bret's sharpshooter to elevate himself to the upper tier, there was one time (pre-SurSer-93) where Owen won his matches with a different move. "The Rocket" at one time used to win his matches with a norman-lights suplex, I believe, called, the "Lift Off". Bret had the Sharpshooter, while Owen had the Liftoff. I think Koko came back in early 1994 for a one shot deal, because I remember them wrestling on superstars during the Hart vs Hart feud. It's the same theme. As for High Energy...they were alright, but it was too hard to get behind them. My friends and I had pretty much written off Koko as a jobber by this time, so it was pretty pointless to expect something special out of the team. They were a decent team. Koko was a guilty pleasure of mine --- though he looked like an idiot messing with his pants in EVERY SINGLE MATCH THEY HAD. I got tons of their stuff on tape (all for sale, *wink*) and they were better than a lot of the WWF teams at the time --- but the only ones who'd sell for them were Money Inc.
