Mecha Mummy Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 I, myself, HATE the Evolution music now. Motorhead just RUINED it for me. ... Oh, and I too prefer Raw now. The wrestling still isn't good but the angles are at the very least solid and logical and everyone's got something going on (Other than poor Tommy Dreamer and the extras of the women division, Ivory and Jacqueline).
Damaramu Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 I wish HHH was back because I don't feel we got the proper payoff to his heel run. Sure Goldberg beat him and took the title but it was anti-climatic. We need him to go on his uber-heel run again and then get his ass beaten half to death. In a match where he is totally punked out and made to look like shit. That would be the ultimate payoff. And people would pay good money to see it. They tried that before. He got a car dumped on him. People kind of said "meh" and when he came back without a scratch it was the first sign that something was screwy in the booking room. And what's up with the peeps thinking Evo will turn on HHH? I hate to say he's the glue holding the thing together, but the whole thing was made so he could feel like Flair and have a Horsemen. It makes no sense for them to turn on him. No that wasn't payoff. I'm talking payoff where he gets his ass kicked and doesn't come back seeking his revenge. I'm talking about where he LOSES a feud and doesn't exact any revenge and moves on to another feud.
RavishingRickRudo Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 Both shows suck, but only one show has Benoit. He's basically the only reason I am watching the WWE right now.
Jobber of the Week Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 Where was the man, Rob Conway, tonight? I guess he got bumped for Booker/Christian part 513. The show was good tonight. They followed through on all their angles and have nearly forgotten the whole Test/Steiner/Stacy thing, which really brought the show down.
Guest Megatron Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 Welcome to the club. I skip over the Velocity spoilers now, just read the SD spoilers. Then I don't watch SD and do watch Velocity. How sad. You're lucky. I don't even get SD! where I live. Man, how I wish Angle were on RAW.

Well, I'm not so sure THAT will happen anytime soon. He should step back and just be more of a Austin right now, maybe try and let ALL those injuries heal up. Then make a wrestling return in 2-4 months.
Guest wildpegasus Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 I have watched very little Raw lately but from what I've seen it has gotten better while Smackdown has gotten worse. Still, besides Jericho, Booker and Stratus, there's not one person I care about on Raw right now. Plus, Raw has the King and Ross on commentary which just heips ruin the whole show. The last two weeks I even forgot that Raw was on until I read something on the net. Smackdown meanwhile has much better commentary as Cole and Tazz actually like their product and they have wrestlers I actually care about. Even the lesser talented wrestlers of Smackdown are more fun to watch than the most talented superstars on Raw and that to me is what it's all about.
Just call me Dan Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 Chrstian is really becoming entertaining and a highlight of Raw to me. His smirk after checking on Lita more than vanquished my hate for that bullshit resthold in the tag match. HBK has me entertained week in and week out, plus the fact that Spoiler (Highlight to Read): I guess this is a spoiler, Mattitude may be jumping I'm stoked about RAW weekly!
Guest The Old Me Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 Smackdown is better. And why???
Lil' Bitch Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 Evolution hasn't even been around for a year yet, actually barely half a year since Orton / Batista were out most of the time, they're the bigger thing on RAW heel-wise and them breaking already would be quite lame.
RavishingRickRudo Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 Because they have Benoit... ... I thought that was already stated?
Guest The Old Me Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 That's certainly an opinion. He doesn't do all that for me.
Guest Besus Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 Smackdown is the better show because of the Wrestling,Commentary,Wrestlers and Fueds.Dont agree? Dont give a fuck because IMO SD is the better damn show.

Jobber of the Week Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 Because they have Benoit... ... I thought that was already stated? Raw has Flair. And so far, he's been just about as useless as Benoit is. I know 500 Canadians will hunt me and impale my head on a hockey stick for even saying this, but I'm starting to think Benoit needs a bit of carrying here and there. Maybe it's just a morale problem, but it's not the Best Of Seven days and he can't do a MOTYC wrestling himself anymore.
Lord of The Curry Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 Benoit, Guerrero, Angle, Taker, Rey, London, Spanky, Dragon, Tajiri. All on Smackdown. Still putting on better matches on Smackdown.
Guest The Old Me Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 I think Benoit is just jaded. As is RVD and it seemed Jericho was a while back, too.

Not MOTYC but still decent.
RavishingRickRudo Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 Benoit's the most fluid wrestler in the WWE - his movements are so smooth. Add in the stiffness and he's the only guy right now who I enjoy watching. Flair is just disturbing to watch.
Jobber of the Week Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 What? He did a pretty decent job wrestling himself against Albert. Not MOTYC but still decent. Although Train's look makes me want to change the channel, I think he's okay as a guy with moves that 90% of the time consist of tossing the guy around. He's better than Goldberg in my books. Those matches were pretty bleh IMHO. Better than the matches with Rhyno, but not by leaps and bounds.
Guest The Old Me Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 I didn't like Benoit's matches with Rhyno at all.
Lil' Bitch Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 Flair's still awesome, he just needs to wear a fucking shirt.
ChrisMWaters Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 Flair's still awesome, he just needs to wear a fucking shirt. And look like he did on the last Nitro? I'd rather he just stopped wrestling
Jobber of the Week Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 Also, I just want to say that if Benoit can carry Nathan Jones to watchability (and they'll probably be meeting sooner than later) I'll retract all negative things I said about him and return to substituting his name for God's.
Damaramu Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 Benoit's matches with Rhyno sucked. Mainly because Rhyno does like 2 moves and then resorts to the chinlock. Add on to the fact that this was the period where Benoit was dogging it and you got horrible matches. But Benoit is back to trying and he's been on fire because of it.
Lil' Bitch Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 And look like he did on the last Nitro? I'd rather he just stopped wrestling He just needs a better shirt. I want to see Ric Flair, not Ric's flab.
Lord of The Curry Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 Flair's still awesome, he just needs to wear a fucking shirt. What is so awesome about a crazy old man who's lost in the fucking ring and can't work a lick anymore?
RavishingRickRudo Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 Fuck, this "Benoit's dogging it" myth is still floating around?
Guest The Old Me Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 I'm not saying he's dogging it. Getting older maybe?
