PPV Buy Rates at Scary Low

Ways to immediately improve the show:

Tell Lawler that if he screams "Puppies!" or constantly repeats himself about a plotline for 2 minutes ever again, he's fired.

Prep Al Snow to take over Lawler's position and tell him he is supposed to act COMPLETELY heelish in the role, not this "heel against JR, Austin, and Lawler but play up the babyfaces and knock the heels" BS they had him doing.

Tell JR that if he ever talks about the Sooners, yells "Stone Cold! Stone Cold! Stone Cold!" or runs crappy cliches into the ground again, he's fired from commentating.

Call up Jim Cornette and offer him more money for OVW and contracts for any 5 wrestlers of his choice (such as his guys who got cut from OVW like Flash Flanagan) if he'll accept the RAW play-by-play duties.

Pull all McMahons off of TV after having them lose Loser Leaves TV Permanently matches to rising stars. Vince will be the only one allowed back and that is only for important announcements of the "Mick Foley is coming back" or "I just bought WCW" level.

Let Ric Flair be Ric Flair and not Triple H's little bitch-boy jobber.

Slow down Randy Orton's push so that it's not blatantly obvious to even the dumbest marks that he's going to get the title eventually whether he deserves it or not.

Tell Triple H that he's not allowed to do ANYTHING on TV until he's healthy enough to wrestle again and not hurt himself, even if it means another year off or he never comes back. (Personally, I'd can his ass, McMahon family member or not, but I'm keeping this somewhat realistic.)

Push Eddy, John Cena, Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, Booker T, Rey Misterio, Tajiri, Brock, Angle, etc... pretty much all the usual suspects plus Rico, Paul London, and Spanky (good midcard pushes for them at the Cruiser level)

Send Nathan Jones, Big Bad John (John Heidwhateverthefuckhisnameis), Sylvain Grenier (when he's healthy), Bradshaw, etc. back to OVW.

Start bringing people in at least REMOTELY close to how they were used in OVW. The Bashams were feuding with each other on OVW TV at the time. Matt Morgan was a top babyface. John Cena was a top heel (this was when he was brought in as a surprise face challenger for Angle last year in the WWF). If you're going to use OVW guys with absolutely no plans, at least put them under masks as the Executioners or the Conquistadors so that it doesn't hurt them down the road. (They actually did this for about two weeks this year, although the APA Barroom Brawl Invitational was the last time I remember seeing it done)

NO more skits done just for the enjoyment of WWE brass. This DOES include Bruce Pritchard putting himself on TV as Brother Love for no reason.

If there is a surprise legend / opponent / whatever at the show, it is NOT allowed to be Fabulous Moolah, Mae Young, or Superfly Snuka. At least Afa and Sika the Wild Samoans would be a refreshing change of pace, although still not a great surprise, and it wouldn't be totally out of line for Vince to bring them in considering they're related to like 5 or so guys under contract.

This is just a simple list made in about 10 minutes, with some of the ideas being more feasable than others. $100 says that the writers and bookers couldn't come up with half of this stuff if given a year.

Yeah ok........Great wishes and everything you have there, but let me ask you this. How is anyone gonna watch any of these great matches you're talking about? If you think any of these indies or territories will get a TV deal after the biggest wrestling company of all time goes under you are sadly mistaken. On top of that these guys in WWE make great money now and would be making peanuts int he indies, so you guys are basically saying "fuck you " to all of them. Wake up people!

I'd watch it exactly the same way I watch wrestling now, I'd buy tapes.

Oh and Sakura. That was fucking retarded. "I don't like it...so I HOPE IT DIES!" So by your mentality if someone didn't like your actions then it is perfectly ok for them to wish that you die. Pfft....

Yeah, sure. Why not?

You are without a doubt one of the most immature people I've ever met. Wishing death on somebody......oh yeah......such a great thing. Telling someone you want there life to end. Real great morals there. Who raised you kid? Your parents must have some fucking problems.

No seller? Yes a term used on a wrestling message board by wrestling geeks...that has SO much to do with morals.

But I'll give you the hypocrite thing.

However being a hypocrite is not by any means worse than WANTING SOMEONE TO DIE. So I will stay on your case about the morals.

You said you wished the WWE would die. You want everyone from the front office to the wrestlers to be out of a job because you don't enjoy the product...when you can simpley just turn it off. That is fucking stupid.........I can't even say anything good about it....that was just fucking stupid.

So I think tomorrow I'm going to institute your doctrine. I'm going to go down to my local GM plant and say "Hey guys.....I don't like the cars you make. So I want this place shut down. I don't care if 25,000 of you will lose your job.........*I* don't like the cars. So kiss my ass."

You do realize that with no shot at a decent payday, not many guys would continue wrestling, don't you?

Do you think football players, even at a semi-pro level, would PLAY if they had NO shot at possibly achieving glory?

I would say being a hypocrite is worse than thinking it's funny a jackass like Vince could go out of business.

And you go ahead and do that at GM. Why should I care?

Because maybe you have a shred of human decency and cares what happens to there fellow man? Or maybe your just a bitter person with no human decency? Which is it?

How do you feel about the soldiers in Iraq? You don't know them....so why should you care if they die? You self centered asshole.

I don't care. They can get better jobs. Jobs where they don't die at the age of 45.

You telling the GM people you hope they lose their jobs means nothing. It's not like they're going to instantly lose their jobs because you want it, so why should I care? How does it make me a bah gawd evil jezabel for not caring that you say something mean to a business?

To be truthful everyone has been or will be a hypocrite at one point in their life. Just like everyone will lie in their life.

Yeah but it's another thing to get on someone's case, get owned, then go "....yeah I'm a hypocrite....but so what!". That kills all your credibility and is quite obnoxious.

So, kill ALL wrestling, including the feds that sell the tapes that you ejaculate so over?

Good logic.

So, you buy into the whole "We had to destroy this village to save it" mentality, eh?

And if you knew anything about huge layoffs you'd know most people don't recover. They either go downhill, resort to alcohol and drugs, or just kill themselves. So know......all of those people losing there jobs would not be a good thing. And I don't remember getting owned at all. I remember you generally acting like your opinion is higher than everyone else's. It's not that you present it as a fact. It's that everytime someone has an opinion that differs from yours you have to jump in and add your two cents in just to make sure they know you think otherwise.

*sees Dames leering at him*

Sorry.......had to get the last word in. Oh god I shouldn't have posted this.....he's going to kill me.

You realize that there are huge paydays waiting for these guys in Japan, don't you? Benoit would be a huge draw in Japan now, they all know his work, as would Eddie and some of the other old NJPW guys. Benoit vs. Liger after all these years would be a big deal. In addition, many in Japan see American Wrestling as the real big leagues, which is why Hulk Hogan is such a draw. People like Kurt Angle, Brock Lesnar, and other sorts would draw huge against guys like Misawa and Kobashi in Japanese dream matches. It would completely change the landscape of puro, and probably bring puro back to its heights.

You also realize that certain wrestlers will command big paydays to wrestle in certain territories, and only the succesful ones will be able to bring them in don't you? Or do you think that the territories era was mythical and didn't really exist? You act as if there was no wrestling before Vince Mcmahon, for god's sakes.

As a wrestling fan, I hope for the fall of the WWE. The product is horrible, and their wrestlers could make a ton of money elsewhere as well and put on far better matches elsewhere. Plus, if WWE fell, there would surely be companies to rise up to prominence. When a superpower falls, it doesn't mean there will never be a superpower again. It generally means that there will be a new one soon enough.

*back on topic*

Anyways yes the buyrates are low. And anybody notice how they just slowly dropped over the year? I may just be reading into the decline stuff because I don't think the shows now are worse than the ones from the middle of the year. They all sucked. People are losing interest and it's going to take A LOT to bring them back in.

You're taking this too seriously. I hate Vince and am just messing around. You don't think the mental image of Vince being all pised and carried away by the moving company is hilarious? It's not like I really want RVD to lose his job and be homeless.

And I don't watch other feds and I certainly don't "ejaculate so over" any tape.

Because there was no wrestling before the WWE...

As long as people want guilt-free violence, and as long as there are people dumb enough to it give to them, there will be wrestling.

... best 25 cents I've ever spent!

Oh wait..

*recalls one night with Stephanie McMahon*

*ponders*

Yep, best 25 cents I've ever spent!

Not everyone would want to relocate to Japan or spend that much time there. They have families.

And the more big names an Indy fed takes on the less they'll be able to pay each one. And a lot of people would have to up and move so that the talent and employees could be spread around to keep the payoffs high.

Yeah but it's going to be a lot harder to get that wrestling. It's going to be a lot harder to get people to pay for that wrestling...aside from us.

Yes there was wrestling before Vince...but he's fucked it around so much that it'd be nothing in America without him. Notice I said.......in America.

Japan can't take everybody. And a lot of these guys have families now and would probably prefer to NOT have a job that requires them to be far away from their families for long stretches of time. Do you think Angle would even CONSIDER doing that full-time? Lesnar? Please. Jericho wouldn't do it now. Storm probably wouldn't. Benoit likely wouldn't. Guerrero wouldn't. Most of the guys you'd WANT to see DON'T NEED THE MONEY ANYMORE. They made plenty in the WWE and most haven't pissed it all away. They have money and families --- they don't need nor WANT the headache of travelling to Japan and staying over there. Wrestling is a JOB. It's not something they do for fun or art --- they do it for money. If they can get money doing something easier, they will do so.

The territorial era, after the advent of TV, REQUIRED TV to sell tickets. NO major regional fed lacked television coverage --- and it's going to be significantly more difficult to get on TV NOW. Again, watch Cornette's shoot. Getting TV for OVW, which is about as uncontroversial as one can get, wasn't terribly easy for him. TV execs look down on wrestling and would treat it as paid programming (as they did to ECW for years). How many money marks do you think are out there who'd invest in it? Think about that before shooting your mouth off. No TV means low ticket sales.

Let's say WWE falls. Who replaces them? Who has both the know-how and the MONEY to pull it off?

Again, you have that "We have to burn the village to save it" mentality. It was asinine in Vietnam. It's asinine here.

Vince fucked up wrestling, yes. Which means, the quicker he's gone, the quicker the recovery process will be (c'mon, it would only be like a DECADE... if it starts now, then you'll see wrestling in 2014 rather than say, 2050 with the way things are going...

As for people other than me...Why the fuck should I care about someone else? If they really wanted it, they'd find it..

*hugs MMA... you'll never leave me*
