Mik Posted November 5, 2003 Report Posted November 5, 2003 I stopped watching wrestling a long time ago, have ratings really gone THAT LOW?
razazteca Posted November 5, 2003 Report Posted November 5, 2003 Why are the 2 hours given a different rating?
sfaJack Posted November 5, 2003 Report Posted November 5, 2003 Why are the 2 hours given a different rating? Advertising dollars. WWE bills Raw as two separate one-hour shows. This way, they can charge two different advertising rates, since the second hour of Raw is generally the higher-rated hour. The almighty dollar is behind this, I'm pretty sure.
Guest stardust Posted November 5, 2003 Report Posted November 5, 2003 You know things are bad when a Lifetime program is the 15th highest rated program in a week.
Mole Posted November 5, 2003 Author Report Posted November 5, 2003 MTV actually had a top 15 show other than Real World. Punk'D is doing pretty well.
Damaramu Posted November 5, 2003 Report Posted November 5, 2003 The thing about MTV is that nobody rushes to see a show the first time it's played at it's normal time slot...because you know that it'll be repeated 1000 times over the weekend.
the pinjockey Posted November 5, 2003 Report Posted November 5, 2003 (edited) I also think, for Raw, it makes it so they can claim more viewers. Have you ever seen the ads where they claim that 30 million (whatever the number) people watch Raw? Well basically this lets them count everyone who watches all of Raw twice (ex. Vince McMahon will tell you 6 million+ people watched wrestling on Monday). Edited November 5, 2003 by the pinjockey
Guest Choken One Posted November 5, 2003 Report Posted November 5, 2003 doesn't like 1.0 count as 1 million people or something like 900,000? Just curious
kkktookmybabyaway Posted November 5, 2003 Report Posted November 5, 2003 So Raw finally got into the 2's. Oh well...
