So do you think customizing the jersey is worth it or do you just get a standard one?

 

I was thinking of getting a Leafs jersey with my name on it but its around the $150 mark.

Well I wanted to put my last name and my daughters birthday (23) for the number so that is my reason.

I'd avoid it.

 

Me and my "homies" like to scoff at the people who have their own name on it.

 

It's just generally stupid, especially if you are using the number of someone already on the team.
