Stuck in the airport,

Here's an urban legend I heard of. I'll put it up tonight, and say whether it's true or false tomorrow night.

A Middle Eastern man is exiled from his home country without a passport for political disadence. One of his parents was a British National, so he decides to seek asylum in England. But, while in the Charles de Galle Airport in Paris, France, his briefcase, with all his documentation, is stolen.

When he arrives in London's Heathrow Airport, he applies for asylum, but is denied, due to lack of documentation. Since he now legally has no country of origin, the British authorities simply send him back to his last connection point: Paris, France.

Upon entering France, he is arrested for "attempting to enter the country illegally." A higher court eventually rules that he did enter the airport legally; but because he has no documentation, he cannot leave the airport until he obtains the proper papers.

So, this poor soul has lived in the Charles de Galle Airport, day after day, for over ten years.

Is it true, or false?

You're supposed to guess, that's cheating.

I was at least going to look and then act like I figured it out by myself.

Thanks, Tigger.

As for KingofOldSchool: Liar, liar, pants on fire!
