Tawren 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2003 Yeah, it was a fun show. My favorite match was the main event, it was good. I got punched by Teddy Hart, too Me and a bunch of my friends were hardcore booing him throughout his return, chanting "Teddy Sucks" and "You Suck Anus". He came over and argued with me, and of course I kept insulting him and booing him until he finally just punched me. This pissed me off to no end, but my friends convinced me to just leave, and we went outside. Teddy Hart then comes out the dressing room door and, like a man, yells things to me from 50 feet away. Of course, when I challenged him to be a man and not suckerpunch me, he went back inside. Then we went to the front doors and he came out and we argued some more. Hart eventually apologized to my friend's dad (who drove us there), so I guess he isn't a total jackass. I also liked the rest of the show. It rocked. I love it, Teddy was pretty much standing behind me all night. It was a great show, they guys put a lot of work into it this week. I believe there was some real heat between TJ and Teddy...I best not get into that. I shook Teddy's hand during intermission, told him that he was awesome and best of luck with everything and he thanked me profusely. As for the card...here's my little review, I spent some of the night talking to the Annis family so forgive me for not remembering the finishes. STAMPEDE WRESTLING Friday 14th November 2003 BCA Sportsplex (Bowness) Calgary, Alberta "Crazy" Dean Durango d. Marky "Star Wars" Starr (12:58) Now, the match went quite long..but that can be forgiven, these guys need to practice their skills so it was good to have so much time in front of a live audience. Very funny watching the lady with the Texas flag cheering on the Durrangos all night. Good opener. "Kwik Kick" Kirk vs. Jason Carter vs. Kid Nicholls, triple-threat elimination: Nicholls pinned Carter (11:54) Kirk pinned Nicholls (12:10) Kwick Kick Kirk is a great talent for Stampede Wrestling to have, he carried this match. Jason Carter was pure shit in the ring though, imagine a chubby Rob Van Dam without a bit of his talent. This match should have been a lot shorter, but all in all good. Oscar D. Myers & "Ravenous" Randy Myers vs. Nattie Neidhart handicap elimination match: Nattie pinned Oscar (11:55) Nattie pinned Randy (13:58) Now Neidhart is turning into a great female wrestler, I was quite surprised, this is the first time I've ever seen her wrestle. The fan interaction that she got was great and really helped the match along. But for the match its self...trainwreck, Oscar Myers was really off tonight and the finish was just odd. WOW British Commonwealth mid-heavyweight championship, 2 out of 3 falls: "Dirty" Duke Durango pinned "Totally Jakked" T. J. Wilson (8:35) Wilson d. Durango by submission (13:54) Durango d. Wilson by DQ (21:55) to retain the title My gosh, this was amazing. The match was easily four stars in terms of Indy wrestling, Duke Durrango and TJ Wilson have great chemistry in the ring. Teddy Hart and Jack came back to a huge pop, saving face...but then Wilson hit Teddy with the chair and this started a VERY heated promo segment. Lots of pointless language was used, but there was actual heat between these two. All in all, TJ should have ended up winning the match thanks to Ted and THEN kicked his ass. But great work by all involved...and Jack's Stardust 630 is incredible. "Hotshot" Johnny Devine & Dave Swift & Karnage vs. Greg "Pistol" Pawluk & Apocalypse & Harry "Bulldog" Smith, 6-man tag team bunkhouse brawl elimination: Swift pinned Apocalypse (16:44) Swift & Pawluk DCOR (24:25) Smith pinned Devine (31:28) Smith pinned Karnage (34:07) Wayyyyy too long, the ring announcer trying to get the "Garbage" chant dirrected at Karnage throughout the entire match was so horrible. My attention span dropped low in this match and so....I really dont remember much. Harry Smith is quite the wrestler though, I love how he incorporates his fathers moves in so much. Not too bad all in all, there was some talent in the ring for this one and good luck to all the wrestlers involved in this match. So there you have it, great card...some regular screw ups, but it was a good, fun, night. I was invited by an Annis to go down to get trained, and was asked by two of the wrestlers if I ever thought about it...so we'll see. Our entire corner was chanting "Teddy Sucks", "Anus", and "Teddy Anus". He came over and he said something about riding in lots of limos while I rode a bus. I responded with "Go back to Ring of Hono...oh wait, you can't". Insulting kept going until he said something like "You fag, I could beat you so easy", so I said "Why don't you". He moved like he was going to punch me and I flinched, so he laughed. So I moved like I was going to punch him and he flinched. He said something about me being a fag and then I said "Learn to fucking sell" and he just punched me right in the face. I stumbled back and my glasses fell off. A bunch of people got in between us, and that was pretty good, because if they weren't in the way I would have charged at him and it would have escalated a lot more Me and my friends then went outside where the rest of stuff happened. To be honest, I don't think I took it too far, at least in the context that he had sufficient provocation to hit me. I may have said some unnecessary things, but really, he overreacted. From everything I've read, Tawren never touched Teddy, or did anything other than insult him. Hart could have easily walked away, but he obviously wanted to prove what a big "limo riding superstar" he is by beating up a fan. That's completely immature and uncalled for. NOTHING Tawren could have SAID would be "going to far" enough to take a swing. Sticks and Stones and all that stuff Ted should have learned in Kindergarten. This has once again been blown out of proportion as everything revolving around Ted is. Teddy should have not taken the anger out on Tawren, no matter what, as heated as the night was Ted stepped overboard. Go ahead and email this to all the sites you can find, all you're doing is attracting more attention to Teddy which is what he wants. It won't accomplish anything. I've only seen this guy work one match, ONE, after reading all of these reports of people at actual shows, stuff that he's done/said right in front of everyone, I hate the guy. I can't remember the last time I heard such reports of a wrestler that was more immature, more bush league, or more fucking stupid. What is he trying to prove exactly? Publicity is good whether its good things about you or bad...and it's alot easier to get attention from bad publicity. He's the greatest guy to the fans that like him, he honest to God thanked me profusely for saying that his in-ring work was awesome and good luck in the future. Ted has a bad temper which has been exposed in the past few weeks, I believe he's frustrated with himself for not getting anywhere. He's a 24 year old, world class wrestler, he has a massive ego. It's a given, alot of people who have become big in the industry also had the same rookie problems that Teddy is having now.
