I've seen a lot of people saying how Kane was built up great in that match last night.

 

HOW?

 

The match was 85 percent Shane on offense, and Kane was actually on the brink of losing to THE OWNER'S SON who had one door closed and the other 3/4 of the way done.

 

Vince put Taker over much better.

Let the guy think that they have a chance against you, let them think you're doing well...

 

Then just finish them off in the end.

I agree...Shane getting in some lucky offense early on would be fine, but Kane should have been beating the hell out of Shane for a decent amount of time, and won easily.

 

Like Dames said, it SHOULD have been a more brutal match than Unforgiven, because that's what the hell it was being promoted as. But it wasn't.

Was anybody else thinking during Shane's ambulance dive about how no actual wrestlers are allowed to do any of that shit? No wonder RVD wants to quit.

Yeah, I hate this angle. Any non wrestler should never stand a chance against one of the boys...ESPECIALLY with Kane and Shane.

 

I FUCKING HATE SHANE! He comes back every now and then...does a huge spot that makes everyone else look bad for not doing (although he only works a few matches a year). He should not be taking away heat from the workers...not even Test

I was ok with the match most of the way through - I was quite satisified they came up with teh spot of Shane ramming Kane through some glass with a friggin' vehicle to help explain how Shane could get some offence in.

 

But then 15mins into the match he started trading punches with Kane and not even going down on Kane's 3rd or so straight punch.

 

For me, it destroyed the whole concept of the match.

Good point, but the bottom line is that for one of Shane's matches it was quite tame. It had some great moments but at the end I was left wanting more.

I remember during my lurking days before registering how when it was said Shane was coming back before Summerslam, he was saying it was a mistake while other people were breaking out the "allright, the good McMahon is coming back"

Before the Series, I was part of a sweepstake about who would be winners/survivors during the PPV. One of my wrestlers was Shane, which pissed me off, since I was sure he would be destroyed. The fact that I was convinced several times that, actually, Shane would win, not only shows that they made Kane look horribly weak, but also made me more annoyed when Shane lost, since they convinced me that I was on to a winner.

Well yeah. That showed, once again, that Kane is unstoppable. Nothing the "crazy man" Shane O'Mac could do worked. I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one. I think, besides not being up to Shane's high standards(pardon the pun), the match did a great job to further Kane's story, finally.

I wonder, if he would allow his winning streak to be snapped by Kane at wrestlemania, I mean Kane's only beaten him once ( In a one on one match). That could be the passing of the torch....... oh well, I can hope right? ( And it's not like he hasn't beaten Kane at wrestlemania before)

If They really did Let Kane do his spots all at once it would logically be a very short match. Shane should have been knocked on his ass after the setup moves of Kane.

 

giving Daddy's little boy a 20 minute lead time before Kane comes back and mopped the floor with him is I suppose acceptable..

This angle should have been over in two weeks. Shanbe should have come out and suckered Kane only to have Kane kick his ass once he recovered from getting blindsided. Then when they had an actual match, Kane should have KILLED HIM DEAD. Instead we get even steven booking where it looks like Shane would be able to go TOE-TO-TOE with the guy and thats when the angle went belly up.

For some inexplainable reason RVD gets squashed by Kane, but somehow Shane can take his 6 months hiatus come back on TV and just go toe to toe with a guy they dubbed a Monster for what.... 6 years???

 

No Lita isn't a Monster you could count what happen to her as luck when she kicked out. But Kane they put their shoulder into their creative abilities to make him a Monster and cuz of Shane wanting to be on...T.V they just drank Terpentine Pissed on kane and then set him afire!

I agree to a certain point......I agree Shane should not have had THAT much offense in the match, but in a way it shows that NOTHING can stop Kane, nothing that Shane would do could put Kane away for good. That was the point of this angle.........Whether it was being dropped in a pit of fire, crashing into an 18 wheel truck, being hit by a car in the match, none of it was enough. I think some of you guys missed the point of the angle.

 

It's simple Kane can't be stopped no matter what. He'll keep coming at you.....kind of like Jason from Friday the 13th. Regardless though, Shane needs to go away forever because he makes other wrestlers like RVD, Booker T, Hurricane among others look worse and weaker than him. So that part i wholeheartedly agree with.

That's not the way the angle was being sold.

 

The way it was being sold was that Shane would not give up, and to get his revenge he would have to become as evil and sadistic as Kane, or some shit like that.
