Guest O.J. Hart Report post Posted November 19, 2003 This new version of the great Beatles album, "Let it Be", was released today, and you're good pal O.J. landed a copy. Incase you don't know, this is the original way Let it Be was supposed to be released, but Phil Spector revamped everything. After listening to it a few times today, I must say, this is very good stuff. Most of the songs don't have signifigant changes, but The Long and Winding Road just sounds creepy. It was no symphony at all, and that what made that song great to me. I just want to know if any of you got it, and your opinions about it.
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted November 19, 2003 I originally heard The Long and Winding Road without the symphony anyway, so it didn't faze me so much.
haVoc 0 Report post Posted November 19, 2003 I hope this debuts at #1 next week instead of Britney.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted November 19, 2003 Why? It's the 1057th re-issue of the beatles... It's gotten ZERO promotion...
Guest Doyo Report post Posted November 19, 2003 I don't think they've ever done a re-issue like this with different versions of the songs. It is number one on amazon right now. I'm not sure about advertisements, but I know the release of this album has got major media coverage.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted November 19, 2003 so it's a Re-Mix Album? Even The Beatles can't avoid The Rap Influence.
PsychoDriver 0 Report post Posted November 19, 2003 Actually, it's the original Let It Be mixes before Phil Spector got ahold of them. I plan on buying it soon.

pochorenella 0 Report post Posted November 19, 2003 I would be very surprised if Britney doesn't open at #1 on Billboard's Top Albums. Not that I like her stuff or anything but all those fan girls will flock to the stores to buy the CD even though that first single with Madonna sucks. I've seen/heard very little promotion for the Beatles CD so I doubt it'll challenge Britney. Remember the "#1" CD had heavy promotion going for it, so it debuted strong and kept going for over 8 million copies. This new one has only word-of-mouth and hardcore fans going for it at best, so if it goes #1 I'll be surprised but happy.
Mecha Mummy 0 Report post Posted November 19, 2003 Isn't it competing with Blink 182 as well...?
Guest Choken One Report post Posted November 19, 2003 Blink 182 isn't really strong anymore and Likely they have a modest week and land at #4 even though the new album has better reviews and has ROBERT SMITH.
A Happy Medium 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2003 Yeah, the Blink album isn't bad...the single is a bit old to me...but then again I've been playing Madden 2004 forever. Robert Smith kicks ass.
