Jimmy Hart is now sitting in on the creative meetings, which also include Glenn Gilberti, Scott D'Amore, and Dixie Carter. Jeff has final say over everything, and Dutch is clearly second in command. Disco is now just a contributor after having written a lot of the shows with Russo. Russo is said to be upset over his demotion from the creative team, but he keeps in contact with Dixie Carter. Some people say Russo is the Carters' fallback plan, just in case, but other say Jeff kept him on the payroll because of their friendship. The official reason for Russo being sent home was that Hogan wouldn't work with the company if Russo had anything to do with creative, but Russo is telling people that he thinks he would have been sent home anyway because he and Jeff were butting heads a lot. Russo says, and a lot of wrestlers are agreeing, that Dutch is just a yes-man for Jeff and doesn't challenge him on anything. He also thinks the shows have noticeably dropped in quality since he stopped writing. - Jimmy Hart is fitting in okay. The talk is that his project with Roy Jones' promoter, which is expected to tie in with TNA if it gets off the ground, will be focused on more now that Roy's latest fight is over. - They'll be doing a live show the day before Thanksgiving, which the wrestlers aren't thrilled about. The shows prior to Christmas and New Years will be taped. - Word coming out of the creative meetings is that Dutch said something like that David Young is worth more money to the company than Simon, Swinger, Chris Daniels, and Jerry Lynn. Naturally people assumed he was down on those 4, but others say Dutch is just high on David Young. Either way, wrestlers are laughing at the quote, since David Young is not a money player and is not more important than those guys.

See, the way I see it, is that Dutch is thinking that David Young is an "unknown" so NWA:TNA could book him like he was theirs. Whereas Jerry Lynn is from ECW, Christopher Daniels is above 30 years old and been well known on the Indies for years, etc. If that's the case, it makes more sense, but I still don't really agree with him. LOL!

Dave Scherer and Buck Woodward say nothing but negative things about TNA.

Their problems are widely known and have been discussed for years. They are the Torch with MORE obvious problems. Their biases are about as obvious as could be. They fabricate stories left and right. He is a spitefull bitter man whose hate of the WWE comes through everything he does. With that being said...... What have they fabricated? Dave Scherer and Buck are almost always right on the money with their stories.

Someone like Sting they at least tolerated when he came straight into main events, cause it was Sting. But now Sting hasn't put anyone ever, he's getting them to bring in Lex, Lex isn't putting anyone over, and Lex is getting put right in the main events over all the guys who work there regularly. Kid Kash was one of the people left off last week's show, and he was making a big stink about TNA management not using/paying the regulars so that they could afford Sting and Luger.

Guest jesseb Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 It's funny how you say the Torch is unreliable, when they were the first to report the story of how the buried alive match would end and how Undertaker will return to his deadman gimmick after being buried by Kane. They also said Brock would wrestle Goldberg well before anybody else even mentioned that idea. Then they reported that Mick Foley was in talks to wrestle HHH, just days before Foley said it himself in a newspaper interview. They are reporting many stories well ahead of anyone else right now. It's also funny how you blame the Torch for things they didn't say, like that Hogan was a liar about working for TNA. They did not say that, the recaps your reading by Seadawg said it because he was making a joke. Of course, you couldn't know that since his stuff was being stolen without credit, so it is nto your fault.
