Guest Mr. Brook River Report post Posted November 29, 2003 However you need to look at it. But I'd hardly define my life as pitiful.
Guest TheOneandOnlyPosterOfTheYear Report post Posted November 29, 2003 Dude, you have a guy hyping you like the second coming of Christ. That is pitiful in my book. Maybe he's more at blame then you, but you should seriously start looking at your "friends" before they start helping you out at a new forums again. Just some advise. Guest Mr. Brook River Report post Posted November 29, 2003 Wow...that's a rather harsh way to look at a freind helping a guy out. I'm very appreciative of what he did because it helped me in not feeling so new since my name was already out there, and if you read the beginning of this thread, he actually gets on my case about posting, so you can't blame him. The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted November 29, 2003 Okay, listen, Poster of the Year. I put that banner up and made those threads semi-jokingly weeks ago because I figured he was going to join in a matter of days. Since it ended up being about three weeks, it stayed there. Neither of our lives are pitiful in the least. As far as I can perceive, both of us are leading decent lives. At least we're not going out of our ways to pathetically belittle people at a message board.
Guest TheOneandOnlyPosterOfTheYear Report post Posted November 29, 2003 I was just making an observation. Sorry if my observation hit a little too close to home.
Guest Mr. Brook River Report post Posted November 29, 2003 Well here's some advice for you: Don't insult someone in an observation unless you want some sort of conflict. Keep an open mind - it can only help. But, hey, bygones are bygones, eh?

USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted November 29, 2003 I think I know what Mr. Brook River is supposed to represent.... if you live in Brookfield/Riverside area then I assume you took BROOK RIVER out of that name... that's my guess.
The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted November 29, 2003 I don't remember what "Brook River" has to do with. Something about his band class and being called a "babbling brook" maybe? That still wouldn't explain the river. Hmmmmm
Guest Mr. Brook River Report post Posted November 29, 2003 Brook River came from Jr. High band. During a sectional, we got onto the topic of those sounds of nature CDs, and I was a bit nutty that day and one of the titles mentioned was babling brook...and so because I was babbling so much, teacher called me Brook. In a humorous way to make fun of me, a friend started calling me River, and they combined to form Brook River. The "Mr." tag was added later for pure...coolness. My full name is Mr. Brook [email protected] that's a whole other story.

Your Paragon of Virtue 0 Report post Posted November 29, 2003 I make music too, if I knew how to upload it to a website you guys would be able to d/l it. Hell, I haven't even put it on my comp yet. Our influences don't go "Fuck you Jordan" so some of you might like it.
The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted November 29, 2003 Miles Davis should be an influence to us all.
Guest TheOneandOnlyPosterOfTheYear Report post Posted November 30, 2003 Brook River came from Jr. Guest Mr. Brook River Report post Posted November 30, 2003 My name came from like...4 years ago. I just don't care enough to change anything. Everything I use on the internet has the same name. Its just easier. Â And for the record, "If You See Jordan" was originally a joke, never meant to be seriously produced. It just turned out to be rather catchy among their fans...and once again, I refer you to my earlier post regarding our Something Corporate influence being minor and from their earlier album, and our major influence being Ben Folds/Ben Folds Five. Â Mr. Rant, I thank you for your intelligent, detailed response. Always appreciated.
The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2003 P@, you don't mess with MrRant. You need to learn that from somebody and it might as well be me.

godthedog 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2003 Miles Davis should be an influence to us all. especially with the "having an illegitimate child before 20" thing and the "heroin addiction" thing. the man was years ahead of his time.
Guest Mr. Brook River Report post Posted December 5, 2003 Miles Davis should be an influence to us all. especially with the "having an illegitimate child before 20" thing and the "heroin addiction" thing. the man was years ahead of his time. That's a very good point. Can we ignore a person's flaws as a role model to put emphasis on their achievements? It certainly seems that way. Not only is it in Holywood, but its all over music as well. Any episode of Inside Edition or Extra will tell you that.
The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted December 6, 2003 P@ how did you post at 9 a.m.? Were you abusing school computer privileges? Baaaaaaaaaaaad. And even though you're family, get a banner that doesn't stretch the board dimensions.
