Honey-roasted Bam

Recommended Posts

I was taking one of those monster shits today (The kind legends are made of) when I happened across a WCW magazine from 2000 or so. I randomly flipped to a page and it had a little panel that said "Bam-Bam slowly recovering" or something of the sort. The article went on to say that, Bam Bam had been burned by a horrible fire from trying to put out fireworks that had caught on in a nearby bush, and not saving children from a house as had been previously reported.

Up until this point, I had been under the impression Bam Bam had gotten his burns saving kids from a fire, I remember hearing a lot about it when it first happened. Can anyone shed some light on this? If they say it was fireworks, I guess it's fireworks, but I still remember reading all over the net and everything it was kids in a fire.

So what does WCW do when Bigelow comes back?

He jobs to Goldberg to ME a Nitro. Very little buildup, no mention of Bigelow's heroic efforts.

I don't remember that, but I do remember in their dying days they were getting ready to job him out to Stasiak. Horrible, horrible stuff.

Pretty much my only mark-out moment at a live event...

WCW Thunder taping at Manchester MEN Arena, England. I was right at ringside, wearing the original bright orange Tazz 13 T-shirt. Anyway..

Someone vs Bam Bam, think it was The Wall. I've always liked the Bammer for some reason. Anyway, match was pretty much a squash from what I remember (Tables match I think). Anyway, Bam Bam lost and walked round at ringside, looking really pissed off. As he went past I shouted "You rule Bam Bam". He turned round, gave a little smile and slapped my hand. Quality moment...

I'd like to think this is what gave me the courage to mercilessly heckle Coach Kev while he murdered Mike Sanders but I think it had more to do with the beer :)
