Vern Gagne Posted November 24, 2003 Report Posted November 24, 2003 Why the hell does Whoppi Goldberg have to be involved.
nl5xsk1 Posted November 24, 2003 Report Posted November 24, 2003 Why the hell does Whoppi Goldberg have to be involved. Better question ... why aren't there any non-black comedians appearing on the show? (or, more likely, why aren't any being announced?) Pryor is one of the funniest comedians of all time, and was easily more than just a "black comic". With that list of appearances, a lot of mainstream fans might not tune in. (hell, I love Richard Pryor and with both Foxx and Goldberg appearing on the show, I might not watch it)
WrestlingDeacon Posted November 24, 2003 Report Posted November 24, 2003 They did similar show for Richard Pryor when he won the Mart Twain humor prize a few years back. I remember a few white people being on it who were good friends of Richard's. Kris Kristofferson and Lilly Tomlin come to mind.
Nighthawk Posted November 24, 2003 Report Posted November 24, 2003 I don't know though, unless Seinfeld is appearing, what white comedian has enough name value to be advertised like that? And everybody loves Dave Chapelle.
