X2 DVD Special at Circuit City

Recommended Posts

Saw this in my local ad. If you buy the X2 DVD (priced at $14.99 today and tomorrow), you get Wolverine's Revenge for any of the platforms for only $4.99. That's $20 for a game and a brand spankin' new movie. Damn good deal, and a good combo Christmas gift on the cheap as well.

By any chance, does this deal apply to the box set as well?

Don't think so. If you go to CircuitCity.com you can view their weekly ad. Check it out for yourself, but I'm not sure about that.

You're right. I just checked the site, and it looks like the deal only applies to the X2 DVD. Thanks anyway, Zack.

On the bright side, the box set was a good deal. It cost $30, which basically comes out to $15 per movie.

Hmm... $5 for the Wolverine game...

IMO, the game pretty much sucked anyway, especially the Magneto levels. I rented it last summer. If I were to end up buying X2 at Circuit City, I would honestly skip the $5 Wolverine game. I'll probably buy it at Target only because it's WAY closer to my house.

If you're EXTREMELY frugal, and have a Circuit Shitty and Best Buy close to one another, you can save money (today) by:

1) buying X2 from Best Buy (currently at $19.99)

2) WALKING over to Circuit Shitty and picking up their flyer with the X2 advertised at $14.99

3) WALKING BACK to Best Buy, showing them the ad, and getting back your $5 plus 10% of the difference ($0.50)

Again, this is for the extremely frugal only, and maybe those who are looking to get a little exercise in.

I should also mention that Circuit Shitty only has a limited number of the X2 DVDs (I managed to snag what seemed to be the last one there), so you might just want to print the ad off their website and go straight to Best Buy or Wal-Mart so that they price match it.

Or you could get the DVD and the game for $5.

Then head over to another store, say you want to exchange the game, and get another.

Wow, that seems like a good idea...
