It makes Joey Styles/Don Calis sound like Donnie B., if that makes any sense. The ICP are TOO funny on commentary, if you're looking for funny stuff, but if you want hardcore wrestling, your best bet is CZW, XPW, IWS, or IWA-MS. After all, the ICP tapes were so bad wrestling-wise they made Chris Hero (who appears on one of the tapes) look like Abdullah in terms of wrestling ability. Therefore, I guess you can get JCW vol. 2 and Stranglemania 2 and something else.. or something.. I'm not sure what their shipping is, but it's something to look at in a possible case of saving money. I enjoy the ICP announcer humor which is the main reason to get the DVDs for me. I was just wondering if watching an 80 year old Abdullah vs Scrub would have any value. Then again, you strike me as the type that finds Frasier actually funny, so hey... I highly recommend them, if only for the fact that the commentary is GREAT. 3D and Gueedo are the best commentators I've ever heard in my life. I mean, the guy's like, 700 pounds and can hardly move. They're on commentary - "Look at the grace and agility with which he climbs those steps! He's like a bittersweet angel!" "He looks like they shoved a hose up his ass, and pumped him full of whipped cream, jelatin, and Jello-endorsed products!" Plus, the fact that they call the booking while announcing is GOLD. "Evil Dead is going to win, because that's how we booked it!" I'd say, for 12 bucks, get 'em. But don't expect anything more then bad wrestling and cheap humor. I mean, I've never thought ICP were HORRIBLE wrestlers (admit it, they have some decent moves, and Shaggy's a bump machine), but this surprised me. Sure, they fucked up the 3D finish (which they actually admit to doing during the commentary, "Here comes the finish, and...OH! HE FUCKED IT UP, GOD DAMMIT!" or something along those lines), but the rest? Fun, fun, fun. And JCW vol. 1 is hilarious solely for their commentary during the King Kong Bundy match. I don't remember if I was kidding or what... I was a naive Juggalo. Anyway. Most of the wrestling sucks (Hero vs. Hizaya was decent), but it is definitely worth the price for the commentary alone. I like my humor on the immature side, so all the "fucks" and gay jokes were welcomed (maybe not "welcomed," but I laughed at them). My friend Nic attended the "Vol. 3 Show" and said it was a great show, but I think he was caught up in the fact he was watching non-wwe wrestling live.
