Downhome 0 Report post Posted January 7, 2004 Superherohype is reporting Cilian Murphy (28 Days Later) has landed a role as a villain. They're not specifying which so take it with a grain of salt. Cilian Murphy is going to play the role of a pre-Two-Face Harvey Dent. From ChristopherNolan.net... Batman Casting / Website News A scooper for LatinoReview reported some news which came apparently from Chris Nolan's former manager at the UTA. There's two villains. There's one love interest. There's a young Comm. Gordon. There's a young Harvey Dent. The cast are Christian Bale [batman], Michael Caine [Alfred], Judson Caspian [Viggo Mortensen], Cillian Murphy [Harvey Dent], Katie Holmes [Rachel Caspian], Chris Cooper [Gordon], Elle Fanning [barbara], Noah Emmerich, as of 11/29/03 They apparently are still finalising the two main villain roles, but everyone from Robert De Niro to Dennis Quaid has tried out, and they should have their man-times two, in a week or two. (Thanks to Eloy for the heads-up!) In other news SuperHeroHype reported that WB has registered some new batman domains confirming the Batman: Intimidation title (these are BatmanIntimidation.net, Batman-Intimidation.com and Batman-Intimidation.net.) Hope you all have a good new year's eve. See you in the next year. I'd like to end this year here at cn.net with a quote from when of the best filmmakers in history: "If it can be written, or thought, it can be filmed." - Stanley Kubrick
Guest Dave O'Neill, Journalist Report post Posted January 7, 2004 Viggo as the villian?. That rules. Thank God Nolan is channelling Sam Raimi and hiring real actors. The movie cannot suck now
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted January 7, 2004 I'm not sold on this until it gets to the movies without WB ripping it apart. All they care about is selling toys to kids so don't be surprised if before long, Nolan gets handcuffed. They may let him CAST the actors he wants, but that doesn't mean they will let him create the Batman he wants yet. This is the same studio who at one time felt "Batman" should be a comedy for crap sake. I like the casting, I think the story might be getting too damn wide to be handled in one film and unless whoever is writing this is setting it as a two-part film I think he's getting in over his head. He's trying to re-establish Batman and two villians in one film might make that impossible to do. I still have hopes he can make a good one...but I won't be sold on it till I see a trailer and know the WB didn't shred it.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted January 7, 2004 Viggo isn't one of the villians. The article said they are still finalizing the villians.

Downhome 0 Report post Posted February 1, 2004 I was looking at a few sites tonight and came to Aint-It-Cool, and they have a link to another site where they review the script for this film. I haven't read it, as I don't want to have anything spoiled, but I thought I'd post it in case any of you want to check it out.
