i remember a few years ago, this wrestlers came into the wwf and he'd tap people out within seconds using the crossface chicken wing.

what was his name? it's been buggin me, i can't seem to remember.

also any other info on him would be great...was he even a good wrestler? i just remember him having short matches because his opponents would tap out so quickly to the chickenwing...i believe he did a record of 3 seconds.

what happened to this guy?

Do you mean Bob Backland? as his finisher was the crossface chicken wing.

Yeah, that was Bob Backlund...forget what the angle was, but he'd run up to random people, make 'em tap, and celebrate...whatever it was, it was only a one time deal as Backlund was in the WWF a loooong time ago and the whole bit was mainly to get him some publicity for his bid to be elected to Congress.

Wasn't he with Angle for a short while as a semi-manager?

Yeah and Angle used the Crossface Chicken Wing. Then Bob booked Angle to defend both the European and IC titles against Benoit and Jericho in a 2 fall match at WM2000. So Angle put him in the crossface chicken wing to show his displeasure.

The idea was initally that Backlund was Angle's Legitimate father...but they scrapped that plan real quick.

I can't believe numbnuts actually had to ask who the fuck Bob Backlund was.

I marked like a little bitch for Bobs post-snap run. Wasnt the rumour that Vince was going to take the Chicken Wing but it was vetoed?
