Guest hunger4unger Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 According to http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0293429/fullcredits Trish has landed a role in the upcoming mortal Kombat 3 which stars Christopher Lambert. Hardly a movie that will do well at the box office but good luck to her.
Guest Coffey Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 MK3 better turn into a porn then....
Guest JMA Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 Hopefully, Annihilation will be ignored.
Guest Choken One Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 What's with Raw wrestlers getting roles on Shitty Action Sequels? Does Hollywood NOT watch Smackdown? When has SD ever gotten a Hollywood role? Other then Edge with the Also shitty Action sequel role.

Slayer Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 I hope she's not the new Sonya Sonya would go from ass-kicking special forces chick to a porn-star lookalike throwing kicks that wouldn't earn a green belt at the Y </bischoff>

Hogan doesn't count as he had roles before Smackdown... Nathan Jones had the part before he signed with WWE (in TORY, the Brad Pitt EPIC)... Undertaker? Other then the fucking Hogan movie...None. Sable was before she returned... I was refering to wrestlers getting roles since becoming SD wrestlers... Although Edge might have before that...

the pinjockey Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 From the cast list Trish Stratus .... Sonya And the shitty action movies probably want these wrestlers because they are - cheaper - probably do their own stunts, saving more money - do bring some name value - they will likely get free pub on WWF programming.

Sonya And the shitty action movies probably want these wrestlers because they are - cheaper - probably do their own stunts, saving more money - do bring some name value - they will likely get free pub on WWF programming. That did WONDERS for Highlander:End Game didn't it. Why didn't WWE promote Looney Tunes? Oh Yeah...HHH didn't get the part...The other guy did...Who was that guy? Oh yeah, Their world champion. Why hasn't Brock gotten any roles yet? He should have gotten the role Nash got.
the pinjockey Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 For Looney Tunes they did a bit on Confidential, but picture this: :Goldberg comes limping to the ring: JR: Goldberg is gutting it out, look at our champion. He is tough with all the odds against him. Oh and by the way he is going to star in the new Looney Tunes movie. And did I say that the strategy of getting a wrester would do wonders for a shitty action movie? A second tier wrestler is not going to bring in a huge audience, but they will probably do more that a shitty B movie star will.
Slayer Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 She's gonna have to take some more training on-set then. I don't see the "Chick Kick" taking out too many Outerworld beasts...
Guest hunger4unger Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 She might be a martial arts expert in her spare time for all we know...when she's not giving interviews to websites
Slayer Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 She might be a martial arts expert in her spare time for all we know... and she shows it so well too
Guest Choken One Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 She's gonna have to take some more training on-set then. I don't see the "Chick Kick" taking out too many Outerworld beasts... She can just do what she did to Jericho then...

Guest Trivia247 Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 So Lambret comes back...replacing the Asian dude from the Last Emperior and M.Butterfly...good Lamby's scractchy voice is good for a God I guess. what can trish do however, Who will she play? That chick from MK3 with the Overflowing hair? I use to have every MK game from Sega gen
Slayer Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 Side note: Hey Trivia, shouldn't Taka's phrase in your sig be in Japanese...? ...or at least subtitled...
Conspiracy_Victim Posted November 27, 2003 Report Posted November 27, 2003 I'm impressed they managed to pull almost everyone back from the original MK. Christopher Lambert, Talisa Soto, Robin Shou, even Linden Ashby (didn't they kill Cage at the beginning of MK: Annihilation?). Apart from Bridgette Wilson-Sampras or whatever, the whole gang is back. I'm still not holding out much hope. The first one was good schlock but the second one was utter crap. I'll give it the old "Wait and see".
haVoc Posted November 27, 2003 Report Posted November 27, 2003 I bet Lita never works in Hollywood again. Last show she was on she broke her neck and the show got canceled.
geniusMoment Posted November 27, 2003 Report Posted November 27, 2003 Wasn't Meng in a Mortal Combat or streetfighter movie?
DangerousDamon Posted November 27, 2003 Report Posted November 27, 2003 Wasn't Meng in a Mortal Combat or streetfighter movie? the show meng was on was mortal kombat konquest. he was killed by kung lao, the main character, i believe.
Guest Trivia247 Posted November 27, 2003 Report Posted November 27, 2003 Side note: Hey Trivia, shouldn't Taka's phrase in your sig be in Japanese...? ...or at least subtitled... Actually I use to know a site where I could translate but I don't know if it would work here gonna try
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted November 27, 2003 Report Posted November 27, 2003 There's only 1 good side to this. At least Lambert is back...
AndrewTS Posted November 27, 2003 Report Posted November 27, 2003 If this follows the usual pattern (as well as being like the games), this movie should be astoundingly lousy. Trish seems too short for the part, although she does have the muscle mass, flexibility, and as mentioned by pinjockey, has her advantages.
Anya Posted November 27, 2003 Report Posted November 27, 2003 It's just IMDB. I haven't seen anything about this at any credible sites, so I would take this with a grain of salt. They're still calling it "MK Domination" even though it was said over a year ago that was not the title and John Tobias has nothing to do with writing this film, he hasn't worked on a MK game in years. I think MK3 is the best game in the series, but this movie would probably be based on DA if it ever comes out.
