Lord of The Curry Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 She was probably numb from finding out. And on the whole cameraman being right there: It's been established that no one actually watches RAW (ie: No one ever notices someone is scheming against them) and thus the cameraman doesn't really exist. She was probably numb from finding out? Ok, listen, somebody tell Barron that this is a work, I can't be bothered. Chris- Do you think that these ninjas are in a Ninja Syndicate with Raven's infamous Mystery Ninja and one day they will rule the WWE and possibly the world? Cause I do.
ChrisMWaters Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 Chris- Do you think that these ninjas are in a Ninja Syndicate with Raven's infamous Mystery Ninja and one day they will rule the WWE and possibly the world? Cause I do. No, they're not associated with Raven's Mystery Ninja. I don't want the Ninja Camerman to be anywhere near being associated with Tori (AKA Tombstone Tori)
bob_barron Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 I know it's a work- but that's why Trish probably didnt run away crying.
dubq Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 I found it to be pretty convincing. I also loved how JR and King just shut the fuck up and let the moment speak for itself. It made that much more effective Yah, her eyes weren't even tearing up. So convincing.
RavishingRickRudo Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 Or they just wanted to show Trishes "ACTING SKILLZ" and show her display pain in a way other than biting her teeth together.
dubq Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 The only way to give the women's division more credibility is to promote them as competent athletes in their own right and let them wrestle. They've tried that. Hence the matches that two monkeys with Down's syndrome could make look more believable.
haVoc Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 Still better then Steph's acting, crying and screaming.

It made that much more effective Yah, her eyes weren't even tearing up. So convincing. She tried her hardest considering she's not a trained actress or anything. I bought it so WWE did its job. It made me want to tune in next week to see what happens next in the angle which hasn't happened in a while

Victoria series in particular
Damaramu Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 You know. Isn't it kind of scary how RavishingRickRudo called that this was EXACTLY how this angle was going to play out more or less? 1. It was blantantly obvious this was going to happen. 2. Focus groups have been telling Vince his audience is now beginning to include females ages 12-24. 3. This is the most cliche, over-done storyline in TV and movie history. Vince has long since become just a parrot, repeating every stupid thing he sees. Are you saying that RRR can't see the future?
Lord of The Curry Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 Believe me, he can. He won't admit it, but he can.
haVoc Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 Don't blame Vince. He has no idea what happens in the real world. Blame his and Steph's hollywood writers.

I'm saying once you've seen enough pop culture and/or wrestling, you can predict just about anything that will happen, even how a storyline will come to a head, and maybe even how it will end.
RavishingRickRudo Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 I predit that JR will say the word "Smashmouth" in the triple threat title match at Armageddon.
Lord of The Curry Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 I predict that at one point in the Batista/HBK match Flair will interfere and JR will freak out and scream "FLAIR HAS NO BUSINESS IN THIS MATCH! NO BUSINESS, DAMMIT!".

Which is why I think it's a swerve and Jericho either really does care or will care. This can't all be happening to set up Trish vs Jericho. There's no fucking way. Not even in WWE.
Lord of The Curry Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 Well, I'm guessing that Steph or Vince recently watched She's All That and in an upcoming episode of RAW Christian mocks the fact that Jericho actually has feelings for Trish and Jericho looks angry and says "Hey man, it's just a bet" and walks away.
haVoc Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 A little off topic, did Jericho ever cash in his favor?
RavishingRickRudo Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 We're talking about the same company who built Torrie vs. Dawn Marie for *4 months* with the storyline peaking with like 5 segments per show and hyped for 2 PPVs which all blew off on VELOCITY?
dubq Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 A little off topic, did Jericho ever cash in his favor? I believe that Christian & Orton were the only ones to cash in the favour so far..
RavishingRickRudo Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 Do the favours even count now that Foley is Co-GM?
chaosrage Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 We're talking about the same company who built Torrie vs. Dawn Marie for *4 months* with the storyline peaking with like 5 segments per show and hyped for 2 PPVs which all blew off on VELOCITY? Jericho and Trish are much bigger names than Torrie and Dawn. The reason it ended up on Velocity because nobody gave a shit about it. Everybody loves Trish/Jericho except for DH.
RavishingRickRudo Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 And Me. I hate it more than DH. I think everyone knows that I'm the biggest non-mark for this feud... Besides, _at_the_time_ Torrie vs. Dawn got WAY more play than Jericho/Trish.
OldSchoolWrestling Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 If last night is how it ends then it was crap. If somehow Trish turns heel I think that will be a great payoff.
RavishingRickRudo Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 If Trish sluts up to another RAW heel (Henry, Batista, pick your hoss) for revenge, I could see a double turn working. "What Jericho did was wrong, I know that, we all know that - but no crime deserves the punishment he's getting right now! Trish, you've gotten your revenge, isn't that good enough!" - JR, on Jericho getting beaten excessively.

Besides, _at_the_time_ Torrie vs. Dawn got WAY more play than Jericho/Trish. You hate everything. You don't count. It might've had more play, but Jericho and Trish are more important. Since Jericho is sorta the MVP of Raw. If the Torrie/Dawn angle sucked, no big deal, all they did was waste a lot of time. What else are they going to do with those two?
