If you mean who would be booked to win, then Jericho these days (in what is his prime as far as quality is concerned) has trouble beating women while Steamboat was always near the top of the card.

 

As for who was the better wrestler, Steamboat at the end of his career in 1994 was better than Jericho ever was.

This match would be great because it would be like a hero vs someone who looked up to him so much as a kid.

but it is nice to daydream about what a feud between these 2 would be like, as it would perfectly fit the kind of role each of them is best at.

I don't know. I think I would like a heel HBK vs. Steamboat feud. The guy who parties with all the girls goes up against the family man. It would make a good feud, a classic match, and a great morale unlike other storylines in the WWE.(i.e. Al Wilson=If you want to get back at someone, just screw their dad to death)

NWA tried that angle with Flair and Steamboat...No one cared, no one watched.
