pappajacks Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 Offer a new $15 million contract to The Rock tomorrow morning, with a clause restricting him from going to Hollywood more than 4 months a year. There is no excuse not to have that man on RAW every week. If i was running a company, i'll do everything in my power to keep the employee that makes me the most money. The Rock is still a draw and people like him cannot be duplicated.
Boner Kawanger Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 The Rock makes more money for Vince making movies than wrestling.
BifEverchad Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 Yeah, and the fact that its still THE ROCK. While he has his funny and memorable moments, he like anyone, also gets stale in the matter of a couple of weeks. So, as long as he just pops up every once and a while and does his usual routine, I'm happy with that.
LivingLegendGaryColeman Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 As true as that can be, I don't think his recent heel run was stale at all... but it did just what his first real heel run did... get him even more over as a face, only this one was too brief.
Guest Choken One Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 I find it funny Rock had a new t-shirt waiting for him upon his return.
Boner Kawanger Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 Almost like it was...gasp....planned!
The Mandarin Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 Almost like it was...gasp....planned! Shhh. Don't expose the business.
Youth N Asia Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 I'm just sick of him coming back for these one night deals. I can't seem to care when he's just coming back for a pop and to beat someone up...even if it is shit workers.
humongous2002 Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 Rock is so popular that his t-shirts get made first before his catchphrases.
Guest ligerbomb03 Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 The new slogan on his shirt is so stupid.
iamsherm Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 I would prefer The Rock wrestle full time rather than make movies, but I'll still take what I can get. Besides, these one shot deals go a long way in giving RAW a little bit of that "anything can happen" feeling it once had. I suppose that is what keeps I, and the rest of the board, from writing off the program completely. I think he and Foley made La Resistance look like a million bucks last night too. Dupree and Conway went toe-to-toe with them and only managed to lose the fight when their backs were turned. I was more emotionally involved in their segment last night than anything else they've done since their debut. It's up to the WWE now to capitalize.
