Guest wildpegasus Report post Posted December 9, 2003 Posted on Rajahwwf.com Kevin Nash’s contract expires with WWE on December 31st and there has been no decision made regarding his return to the company. Nash is obviously a risky investment due to how injury prone he has been during his two year stint with WWE and due to his age his future in the ring is uncertain. Brock Lesnar will be having his knee scoped the middle of this month, right before the holidays when his schedule is especially light so he will not miss a significant amount of time. Jon Dalton (a/k/a Jonny Fairplay) who has become the number one villain on CBS’s Survivor this season, is in negotiations with WWE to have an on-air role in the company after the Survivor season ends in three weeks. OldSchoolWrestling 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2003 All season long, when Jon votes, he spouts off Ric Flair, 4 Horsemen, and other wrestling catchphrases. His 15 minute shelflife after Survivor will be quick, so the only thing I can see him doing is a guest ring announcer type thing at the next ppv. The season finale is Sunday, so if they don't do it then, no one will know who he is.

RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2003 Ah shit, they're going to have Bob Holly come in and beat up Brock so Lesnar can miss a few dates and then set up a match between the two leaving Benoit out in the cold... AH SHIT.

AH SHIT. Must think positive thoughts. This will not happen. It will not happen. It can't happen. It won't happen. There's no way it can happen. Guest RoyalBlue Report post Posted December 9, 2003 If Lesnar's facing Goldberg at WMXX, he's gonna have to drop the belt soon. It could be Benoit's moment. Then again, it could be Holly's moment. Bugger.

haVoc 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2003 The word I am getting is that the negotiations with Bill Goldberg and WWE, which will probably happen in the coming weeks, should be very interesting. Sources close to Goldberg have told me that he has been surprised that since coming in, he has basically “only” been paid his base salary with little or no “bonus” pay. Traditionally, WWE supplements a wrestler’s income off of their base salary with house show and PPV bonuses, plus a cut of the merchandise sales of their items. But, with Goldberg on an extremely high guaranteed deal, said to be in the neighborhood of $1.5 million a year or more, there probably aren’t many extras coming his way, especially with a lot of people making 1/10 of what he does. A lot of the Smackdown wrestlers continue to talk about the “flight from hell” last week, which saw them make an emergency stop to re-fuel the plane in Russia. That stop featured a landing that had many on the plane literally fearing for their lives from what I was told. Along those lines, reader Jake White sent word that A Train was on the local sports radio station in Sad Diego (The Mighty 1090) this morning to promote the Smackdown show tonight. Jake sent this recap. “I only heard one segment but he said that he thought that he and Matt Morgan would be teaming to take on John Cena and Chris Benoit with the stip being that if Cena and Benoit win then Bob Holly gets his job back. He also said that they had to make an emergency landing after taking off from Perth, AUS, and that it really shook up some of the guys.” From what I was told it shook up a lot of them. Speaking of the Smackdown tour, Brock Lesnar suffered an arm injury in his match on the Perth show and was having an MRI on it, I believe yesterday. I don’t know at this time how serious it is. The Rock was interviewed on WWE.com, announcing that not only would he be working Wrestlemania XX on 3/14/04, but his feature film scheduled had been restructured so he can get his commitments out of the way by February in order to work the build up to Wrestlemania XX. Rock said, "I just look forward to coming back and helping out where I can, and having fun in the process. Selfishly speaking, between the energy and the electricity – no pun intended – that I love giving and I love getting from crowds when they’re hot, I can’t get that anywhere else. That’s why I love coming back. Plus, I love the business." The complete interview can be found on WWE.com. The 12/4 edition of Smackdown did a 3.4 broadcast rating according to Nielsen Media Research. Credit: 1wrestling
Guest wildpegasus Report post Posted December 10, 2003 BROCK LESNAR INJURY UPDATE by Dave Scherer Updated: 12/10/2003 9:50:24 AM The word I received on the champ is that Brock Lesnar’s MRI results on his injured arm were good and showed no ligament damage. He did have some small bone chips, but those shouldn’t pose much of a problem.
Austin3164life 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2003 No way is Bob Holly going to become Smackdown's next champion. Benoit, I believe, will get his time to shine, be it a transitional reign or not. If Lesnar might miss some time due to a knee injury, they'll probably have Benoit and Holly duke it out to see who gets another crack at Brock. Benoit, of course, would get the better of Holly in that feud.

And now Holly's job is on the line. Great. They rid us of one useless lump and replace him with another more useless, more belligerent lump. Montgomery Burns: "Oh Ziggy, will you ever win?"
