Guest JMA Report post Posted December 11, 2003 (edited) Awesome episode. Am I a conformist for saying that? Edited December 11, 2003 by JMA
Ravenbomb 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2003 No, because the nonconformist thing to do would be to hate it, but then all nonconformists would hate it, thus making them conformists. So by doing the conformist thing, you're being a double-nonconformist.

Guest El Satanico Report post Posted December 11, 2003 They can't write Token out, he's a great comedic touch that doesn't need to be set up. He can simply appear and be funny.

moral suasion 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2003 Hopefully they've now written out Wendy and Token. The supporting/recurring character list was overloaded. I agree that the supporting characters list was getting overloaded, but I disagree about writing them out. Develop all the kids more. They are all works of Geinus! I want to know more about Token! Bebe! Jimmy! Clyde! Wendy! Craig! All of them! Even Gary!
Guest Mindless_Aggression Report post Posted December 11, 2003 The supporting cast makes sense and is a good thing. They're in school, there should be a lot of supporting cast. And when one character gets old (Kenny) you can go to a less developed one and have some fun with him (Butters, Token, Tweek etc)
A Happy Medium 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2003 Good episode, of course. I love how the Goth kids were the most conformist of all. Dug Stan's Nevermore t-shirt, though. Loved her Stan got over Wendy, by flipping off Token and playing football. What was the first song they played this episode? "You don't know what you got til it's gone!" Mecha Mummy 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2003 What the hell happened to Pip, anyway? He was pretty noticible in the first season or two but after that he just degenerated into being an extra.
Guest HHH123007 Report post Posted December 11, 2003 This would be the episode of the season if they hadn't made the mormon one...
JasonX 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2003 Hopefully they've now written out Wendy and Token. The supporting/recurring character list was overloaded. I pray they don't. Both Wendy and Token are perfect straight characters for the more crazy/off-the-wall characters to play off of. Especially Token, who is great as the voice of reason when faced with Stan, Kyle, and Cartman's utter stupidity...
JasonX 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2003 What the hell happened to Pip, anyway? He was pretty noticible in the first season or two but after that he just degenerated into being an extra. Pip got his spot taken from him by Butters. Which works since the writers are more willing to let Butters inflict torment on others than they were with Pip (who was WAY too wishy-washy IMHO).... JasonX 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2003 Butters should be on the show more often. Who needs Kenny? Butters works best in small doses actually. It's been proven that when P&S over-use Butters, the character loses it's charm and ends up being used as the perpetual victim character which is really bad.. I loved seeing him up in Wendy's room. Oh, and I got a phone call around the last segment -- how did everything get resolved? The last thing I saw was Butters' parents going to Raisins... EricMM 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2003 I loved that ep. When he went to go play Peter Gabrial outside her window and decided to play "Shock the Monkey" well that's just greatness. And I CALLED Token being in her room. Why? Because I knew there would be a guy in there and it's ALWAYS a black man. It just writes itself really. And, of course, the comedic genius that was the Goth kids, especially the guy with the hair flip and the kindgergardener goth kid.
