the max 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2003 OK, I had a digital camera, a crappy one at that. When I installed it, I needed to download a driver to make it XP compatable. The problem: I bought a new camera, and it requires a different driver (obviously). However, the old driver for the old camera is somehow the default and is not compatible with the new camera. I tried to uninstall the driver in Add/Remove Programs, but the screen flashed and it didn't uninstall. I tried to Run>"Drivers" but that didn't work, as the driver for the old camera didn't even show up. HELP!
MrRant 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2003 Is it in the Device Manager?
the max 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2003 Things just went from bad to worse, Sir Rant. and now I'm stuck on like 460x600 for the love of god, HEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPP Or, HOW DO I DO A SYSTEM ROLLBACK?!?!?!!?!
IllustriousOne 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2003 Boot up in Safe Mode and it'll ask you if you would like to perform a system restore. From there, find a restore point that's before everything started getting screwy and you should be good. As Rant said, check the Device Manager. You can uninstall individual driver's from there. the max 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2003 I don't see any drivers at all in device manager.
MrRant 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2003 It's full of drivers. Are you clicking on the plus next to the device types (like Network Adapters)? IF the camera is USB then you need to plug IT in and then go to the device manager and uninstall the drivers. Then unplug the camera. Reboot and do the new one.
