SWF “Storm” HOLT report

December 10, 2003

Laramie, Wyoming at Laramie Arena-Auditorium

Report by Randy Booth of Aspen, CO Smartmarks.com reader

Dark Matches:

- Aecas beat Craig McLennan in 0:14 with the Wings of Fire.

- Landon Maddix beat Jimmy “The Demon” Liston in 4:14 with Crash Landon.

- English Dragon beat Dante Crane in 8:22, when he reversed a hurricanrana attempt into the Dragon Driver

“Storm”:

- Funyon announced that this was a Special Edition of Storm, to make up for the fact that they showed Lockdown on Friday. Comet came out to sing the National Anthem. Afterwards, Bobby Riley came out to join Comet on commentary, and we started up a “You’re a Faggot” chant.

- HVT came out and cut a short promo during the commercial break before the Hardcore Title match, saying something about Mak thinking that he was hot shit because he got the drop on him in the back, and how it wasn’t so. He promised that before the show was over, he was going to wreck Mak’s shit.

- Wildchild sat in the ring for three or four minutes after the match, refusing any assistance. He wandered around the ring looking up at the sky, as if in shock, and it wasn’t until Johnny came down to ringside that he was able to convince him to return backstage. I was upset by the match, as I’m a HUGE Dub Cee mark, and basically drove up from Aspen just to see him, but Terrance worked his ass off, and earned the belt.

- A fight broke out between two fans at ringside during the Dumpster Match. Jim Phelps had both guys removed from the building.

- There was an intermission before the main event, where they gave away some SWF T-Shirts and some Frost-brand™ products. I won a Wildchild t-shirt; kick ass!

- The crowd was really into the main event. After the match, Mak went backstage almost immediately, but Flesher stayed in the ring to pose for a few minutes. Funyon got into the ring after Tom went to the back, and thanked us all for coming out.

Oh, it feels just like old times...going back to the heel of old. To hell with this wussy babyface shite!

Another nice HOLT report from what I thought was a very good show. And dammit...stop making comment threads...lets just use this. I'm too lazy to post comments twice.
