Slickster 0 Report post Posted May 30, 2006 Some WrestleMania 22 notes: -As you all must know by now, Mickie's now-infamous 'V-lick' has been cut from the Women's Title match. The camera focuses on Trish selling, as before, then cuts to Mickie's smiling face immediately after she's finished the gesture. Also, the botched Stratusfaction has been completely removed from the match. The first edit is more obvious than the second one, as the crowd noise level abruptly changes. -Rey Mysterio's botched ringpost 619 has been left in, however. -Shinedown's "I Dare You," Peter Gabriel's "Big Time," and Bullets and Octane's "Save Me Sorrow" are all intact. - However, the bonus Saturday Night's' Main Event (3/18/06) is missing its theme song, which was P.O.D.'s "Boom." It's been replaced by a terrible generic Limp Bizkit soundalike.

Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted May 30, 2006 not a shock that backlash is out now. ppvs typically come out 4 weeks after they air (except for mania which took even longer this year than normal) why must wwe edit out botched moves? it happens. even if wrestling wa real, people would make mistakes sometimes thats why I usually like to order mania and tape it so I have a real copy handy. but the addition of snme to the set is pretty cool, I ll pick it up whenever I get to a store
DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted May 31, 2006 Bret's 30 minute speech from the Hall of Fame is great. The Owen/Duggan story caused much laughter. I was surprised that they left in Bret saying "shit" since WWE normally bleeps language on their DVDs these days (the ECW one being the exception). I read in the other WM22 DVD thread (which I think could be merged with this one) that the FU Cena chants are edited (or perhaps just lower volume, like some of the chants during Goldberg/Lesnar). Does anyone know, before I try it myself later, if switching to spanish audio restores them (similar to WMXX).
DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2006 The Battle Royal on the WM22 DVD is pretty surreal when Cole and Tazz just start mocking it. I did enjoy how it reunited Eugene and Regal briefly though. The part in the "Chicago Buzz" extra where Eugene is wearing a big sombrero at an autograph session, stating he wants to join the Mexicools, is pretty good. Also, check out the "Cena addresses Chicago" extra when the camera zooms in on someone holding a pro Cena sign (I think, I forgot what exactly it is they take a shot of and zoom in on). In doing a close-up and zooming in on that guy, they end up zooming in on a Samoa Joe t-shirt. Good stuff.
Slickster 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2006 It's pretty obvious that Animal was supposed to win that battle royal: watch how everyone in the ring freezes once he gets eliminated.

I suppose the "lick" might have warranted a "tv-ma" rating or somethin i dont know I just got the dvd at circuit city for 19.95 the other day and have only watched snme and hof so far.
