Guest wildpegasus Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 From Lords of Pain -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- **SPOILERS** Smackdown Baghdad Results Submitted by Steve Lukosus on Saturday, December 20, 2003 at 1:59 PM EST John Devlin Sent This In: Baghdad Saturday the 20th of December Smackdown Mr. McMahon came out a talked about the troops and their bravery for liberating Iraq. He was interrupted by Christmas music and Santa himself came out to give the troops some presents. McMahon didn't get a present and claimed Santa never stopped at his house when he was a kid. Vince then attacked Santa from behind. Santa then revealed himself to be Stone Cold Steve Austin and Stunnered Vince before having a few beers in the ring. Matches 1 The Worlds Greatest Tag Team vs. APA - Winner: APA 2 Rikishi vs. Rhino - Winner: Rikishi 3 Eddie Guerrero vs. Chris Benoit - Winner: Eddie 4 John Cena vs. Big Show - Winner: John Cena Brilliant Show. A lot of thanks from the superstars to the troops. John Devlin 7 Signal Regiment Uk Forces Baghdad Wildpegasus -- Ironic how Austin goes from the one beating Santa Claus in 1996 to being Santa himself. Benoit vs Eddie? I wish they'd have that one on TV. I don't really like them wrestling on houseshows too much because off the wear and tear those matches are likely to cause on them.
2GOLD Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 So, I'm guessing the Austin part was BEFORE Smackdown right? Cause otherwise, I'm beyond confused.
Guest reshad974 Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 class act from WWE and Steve Austin : drink alcohol in a muslim country. and the US troops wonder why the irakians don't love them.............
Michrome Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 class act from WWE and Steve Austin : drink alcohol in a muslim country. and the US troops wonder why the irakians don't love them............. It's not a Muslim country, and there's no such thing as an Irakian.
Nevermortal Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 class act from WWE and Steve Austin : drink alcohol in a muslim country. and the US troops wonder why the irakians don't love them............. Ah, shut up, you crybaby.
Guest ligerbomb03 Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 Chris vs. Eddie? I love it when they wrestle each other... always memorable.
Guest reshad974 Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 sorry but english is not my main language and I don't know how you call people from Irak. And Irak is a muslim country, period.
Enigma Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 So did John Cena win the U.S. Title? Or was this yet another non-title match?
Guest Ghettoman Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 4 matches, and one of them is Eddie vs Benoit. PLEASE let it be the long match of the show, please.
Guest ian. Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 So did John Cena win the U.S. Title? Or was this yet another non-title match? im pretty sure the us belt was on the line.

k thx Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 a title change in Bagdad, Irak : I find that AWESOME! now this is a real World company compared to what WCW used to be. You do realise they've changed belts overseas before, don't you?
Ultra Violence Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 a title change in Bagdad, Irak : I find that AWESOME! now this is a real World company compared to what WCW used to be. just to clarify to the people in this thread its spelt IRAQ
Guest reshad974 Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 yeah, in UK, Germany, Japan, maybe Australia also and few others I guess, but Irak man ! I think it's the first time ever a WWF title changes hands in the Middle-East.
Guest ligerbomb03 Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 So tell me where does it say that this was any sort of title match?

Guest ligerbomb03 Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 Who gives a flying fuck about international affairs?
Guest NewYorkFox Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 So tell me where does it say that this was any sort of title match? I think they've been hyping it as a title match recently. I don't they'd pull a bait and switch in front of a few thousand marines. Shawn Michaels would have told them the danger of that...
Guest NewYorkFox Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 Who gives a flying fuck about international affairs? Osama Bin Ladin.
Guest wildpegasus Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 The Cena vs Show match must be non title because the taped Smackdown show is going to be on the 23 to the best of my knowledge.
Guest wildpegasus Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 The Cena vs Show match must be non title because the taped Smackdown show is going to be on the 23 to the best of my knowledge. Looks like they really are the Smackdown results. I wonder why they had Benoit vs Eddie and Benoit losing to him. Are they setting up a Benoit vs Eddie title match at No Way Out? ****dreaming again****
Guest NewYorkFox Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 There's gonna be no way of finding out if these are real until the 25th, or at least until the feed comes through. I'm guessing there's not that many smarks in the military.
Guest JMA Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 Besides Bradshaw being on the show, it sounds good.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 For the idiot that just posted: "No way they'd bait and switch those troops!" Are you serious? As if these guys who are risking their lives overseas 1)Know what the hell a bait and switch is and 2)Could care about a wrestling-ploy more than serving the country. I'm sure they'd riot if WWE came to cheer them up with a great show and GASP!, the fake wrestling match didnt end with the fake title prop going to the rap guy. May as well send them home, how dare Vince!
Only The Strong Survive Posted December 21, 2003 Report Posted December 21, 2003 John Cena vs. Big Show - Winner: John Cena That match wasn't for the U.S. Title was it?

I'm sure they'd riot if WWE came to cheer them up with a great show and GASP!, the fake wrestling match didnt end with the fake title prop going to the rap guy. May as well send them home, how dare Vince! Aside from the fact it was a half joke about Shawn Michaels and marines, this is the WWE's prestige show. It's big feel good show to end the year and draw in new fans and get a cheap patriotic pop. There wouldn't be a bait and switch on it, just the same as there wouldn't be a bait and switch as the main focal point of a PPV. I'd bet on that as sure as I'd bet Bradshaw waved the Stars And Stripes after his match. Oh, and people know a bait and switch when they see one, even if they don't know what it's called.
Guest reshad974 Posted December 21, 2003 Report Posted December 21, 2003 They don't give a damn if the title changes hands or not They came to see the show to have some fun because life is very difficult for them in Iraq.
JN News Posted December 21, 2003 Report Posted December 21, 2003 They don't give a damn if the title changes hands or not They came to see the show to have some fun because life is very difficult for them in Iraq. OMG, you guys. Rashad here finally learned how to spell Iraq. HUZZAH
