That's called a gimmick. You were supposed to not like him. The pointing indicated his lack of respect for Sabu and the fans, and ECW altogether when he sided with the WWF shortly. He only cared about himself. The pointing did nothing to really hurt the match. And it was only done when he celebrated, entered the ring, won a match, or just hit an awesome move.

 

When he turned face he did the "R-V-D" points before some crazy spot, when the opponents was already incapacitated, and during his entrance. He was the biggest face in the company for years, so somebody liked him.

 

How is it he was "annoying", yet in your first sentence you indicate you've seen "every move" he's done.

Fucking RVD. Although I don't like his wrestling, I was with him up until he changes his mind and signs a new deal.

I don't even remember his Flair impersonation, however I remember his Triple H impersonation was pretty funny. Oh and yes if he resigns with the company in trade for a crappy deal on his part, then he can blame himself being treated shitty when he knows he could be happier somewhere else.

 

Oh and as far as him "fucking up moves every week" if you are tired of that, then I guess half the on-air roster should be fired as well, starting with Batista.
