Guest drdrainoscott Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 According to yesterday's observer update, apparently Wrestlemania 1 and Royal Rumble 1989 are being rereleased in the UK. There was no mention of the format, though one would assume it is DVD. Could this be the foreshadowing of them rereleasing all the old tapes? And do you think this is only gonna happen in the UK, cause we in the US can't play their DVD right?
Guest NewYorkFox Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 Yeah, most DVD players can be unlocked too. Check on the net...
Guest Real F'n Show Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 it'd be cool if they released Canadian Stampede on DVD.
razazteca Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 Would'nt this get the panda lovers angry?
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 Would'nt this get the panda lovers angry? WWE didn't debut the scratch logo until sometime in 1998....so Canadian Stampede is fair game.
razazteca Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 But the brand of WWF is suppose to be about pandas not hosses.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 But the brand of WWF is suppose to be about pandas not hosses. That gave me an idea... have some poor schmuck dress up as a Panda Bear on Raw, have him do the Lindy-hop, and then let everyone beat the shit out of it and say fuck the pandas.
ChrisMWaters Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 You know, I would find it funny if WWE tried to re-release WrestleMania 14 on DVD. They'd have to blur the "cut away", which was the Scratch Logo. You'd have one giant blur on the screen. ^^;

Nah, Triple-H will just hold him down.
Guest Kane Fan Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 Sweet - hope they actually come out.
Lil' Bitch Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 This is great news! I can't believe Vince is doing this. WM 1 and RR '89 are a good start Just think of the possibilities...
IWD Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 I'd like to see Royal Rumble '88 being released eventually.
Guest champchavez Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 You know what would be great? Do ya? It would be amazing if the WWEG released a YEAR IN REVIEW series that captured all of the greatest angles and highlights from the year. Start with like 1984-wasn't that the year of the big takeover? So, like a two hour documentary like look at the year, with bonus uncut promos-the best promos of the year, and then an extra disc of the 10 best matches of that particular year. That would be fan-ditally-tastic! Maybe the year in review could include the AWA and the NWA. Does the WWE own all the old NWA stuff? Where does WWE own from--just from when Turner bought the company, or do they own the old Crockett Promotions stuff too? anybody?
JJMc Posted December 25, 2003 Report Posted December 25, 2003 Anyone know a reliable source for DVD player unlock codes?

Considering the footage on Flair DVD, I'd say around early 80s is cut-off of when the footage begins otherwise they'd include his first World Title win since it is easy to find from most tape dealers.
