Guest SP-1 Report post Posted December 25, 2003 I've already been to a candlelight service at my church tonight. I love Christmas. Such a beautiful thing underneath all the presents and money and commercialism.
Matt Young 0 Report post Posted December 25, 2003 I've already been to a candlelight service at my church tonight. I love Christmas. Such a beautiful thing underneath all the presents and money and commercialism. I did the same thing. I was raised Christian and attended a Christian school, but somewhere along the line, I lost my faith. I still believed, I just stopped practicing the religion. It seemed (and still does seem) like I only turn(ed) to God when I was in need, which was all this year mostly. I had only been to church twice this year- Once when I walked the 7 miles up there in the snowy February cold in a depressed haze after the love of my life dumped me, just seeking some guidance; the other time being on Easter. I needed something to restore my faith, and tonight at least put me on the right path.

Matt Young 0 Report post Posted December 25, 2003 Thanks, SpiderPoet. I won't be on much longer tonight- I'm going to play a round or 2 of Mario Kart and then hit the sack, seeing as how I didn't get more than 2 hours of sleep last night at most- but I will add you to my AIM buddy list and contact you next time I see you online. Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted December 25, 2003 I've already been to a candlelight service at my church tonight. I love Christmas. Such a beautiful thing underneath all the presents and money and commercialism. I may not even go this year. I still respect, believe, and understand what Christmas really means. Really it feels stupid just showing up 2 times a year. I should go on at least a semi-regular basis, but I guess I don't care enough too.

Guest Dave O'Neill, Journalist Report post Posted December 26, 2003 I'd like to say Happy Hanukah to any non Christians here. I sent out a Happy Christmas text message to everyone in my phone book, and got reamed by a Jewish friend of mine. Consideration doesn't cost a thing Kids
