Guest FrigidSoul Posted December 29, 2003 Report Posted December 29, 2003 Evidently the Lions want to continue to suck as they are going to retain Matt Millen.
HarleyQuinn Posted December 29, 2003 Report Posted December 29, 2003 Man...it's almost just surreal to watch Jamal Lewis get closer and closer to Eric Dickerson's record and with such ease too
Guest FrigidSoul Posted December 29, 2003 Report Posted December 29, 2003 Man...it's almost just surreal to watch Jamal Lewis get closer and closer to Eric Dickerson's record and with such ease too Well when you have a running back on a team with a cupcake schedule(which is basically every team in the AFC North) it will happen. Imagine if the Chiefs got the schedule the Ravens had...Priest Holmes might be closing in on 2200 easy.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted December 29, 2003 Report Posted December 29, 2003 Its not as surreal as seeing him go for 500 in two games vs the Browns. The Browns knew he was coming last week and they still couldnt stop him.

Ravens: #1 Rush offense #32 (DEAD LAST) Pass offense

Hell, Troy Hambrik might have 1700 funny...cause he used to play for the Ravens and they let him go and drafted Jamal Lewis. and the Steelers have begun shutting down Jamal... of course, Jamal does a lot of his dirty work in the 2nd half...but I dont know how much time he'll see in the 2nd half.
CanadianChris Posted December 29, 2003 Report Posted December 29, 2003 Halfway home, with one half and change to go...
Guest FrigidSoul Posted December 29, 2003 Report Posted December 29, 2003 Marvin, I know Priest was with the Ravens, that's why I said if he was BACK with them ;p
Bored Posted December 29, 2003 Report Posted December 29, 2003 This has nothing to do with the game but in case anyone was wondering to break the four-way tie for the NFL's worst record to determine the #1 pick in the draft they will go by stength of schedule. So the first four picks in next year's draft will go like this: 1. Chargers 2. Raiders 3. Cardinals 4. Giants
MarvinisaLunatic Posted December 29, 2003 Report Posted December 29, 2003 The Chargers need to draft Eli Manning and scrap the Drew Brees project. If Fitzgerald is eligible, the Raiders need to draft him. The Cardinals will probably draft a defensive player..who knows.. 7-0 Ravens at the half. Boring game overall. Jamal has 11 carries for 77 yards. He might be able to pass Barry Sanders, but Im thinking unless Billick is stupid and plays Jamal the whole 2nd half he wont get the record..
Guest FrigidSoul Posted December 29, 2003 Report Posted December 29, 2003 If Fitzgerald is eligible, the Raiders need to draft him. I bet you TO joins the Raiders and Rice goes back to the 49ers to finish his career. Owens deffinately = Al Davis kind of guy

Such a waste of talent.......*shakes head*
Kahran Ramsus Posted December 29, 2003 Report Posted December 29, 2003 Fantastic day for football! I knew the Vikes would overlook Arizona, who can be tough at home. Minnesota plays with no heart at all and it showed today.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted December 29, 2003 Report Posted December 29, 2003 64 yards away.. Since I've seen Jamal bust a couple of 50 + yard runs (many of them vs the Browns though) he still has a shot, but I hope they sit him down in the 4th quarter..
MarvinisaLunatic Posted December 29, 2003 Report Posted December 29, 2003 Jamal hadnt fumbled in a while, I was hoping he got over that...but no.
Cuban Linx Posted December 29, 2003 Report Posted December 29, 2003 An 81 yard touchdown for Pittsburgh!
MarvinisaLunatic Posted December 29, 2003 Report Posted December 29, 2003 That play really doesnt bother me. Its easy to score when half the defensive players are replaced with special teams players.
razazteca Posted December 29, 2003 Report Posted December 29, 2003 That fake punt has to be a PLAY OF THE YEAR candidate.
Damaramu Posted December 29, 2003 Report Posted December 29, 2003 Hmmm...now this record he's breaking...it isn't the one that Emmit Smith broke a few years back is it? What was that that Emmit broke?
CanadianChris Posted December 29, 2003 Report Posted December 29, 2003 Hmmm...now this record he's breaking...it isn't the one that Emmit Smith broke a few years back is it? What was that that Emmit broke? That was probably the touchdown record. Emmitt never came anywhere near breaking the single-season rushing record.
razazteca Posted December 29, 2003 Report Posted December 29, 2003 I think the 2000+ yard record is owned by OJ or Eric Dickerson or Barry Sanders or Jim Brown. Emmitt had most TDs in a season record among others but I think Priest Holmes broke that record this year.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted December 29, 2003 Report Posted December 29, 2003 Dickerson has the Record, Jamal is now #2 ahead of Barry Sanders, OJ Simpson, Terrell Davis... he needs like 45 yards for the record.. Im going on the record now and saying he should be out of the game. They can still win the game with Musa Smith or Chester Taylor in the game. Hell, Id put Kyle Boller in there at QB.
Guest FrigidSoul Posted December 29, 2003 Report Posted December 29, 2003 Emmitt broke the all time rushing record last year Priest Holmes broke the single season rushing TD record today previously held by Emmitt Eric Dickerson does hold the single season rushing yards record which is what Jamal is after now that should shore things up
fazzle Posted December 29, 2003 Report Posted December 29, 2003 Im going on the record now and saying he should be out of the game. They can still win the game with Musa Smith or Chester Taylor in the game. Maybe, but can you imagine the riot in the crowd if they pulled him?
razazteca Posted December 29, 2003 Report Posted December 29, 2003 Hell, Id put Kyle Boller in there at QB. I disagree, I believe that Wright needs all of the playing time he can get and should be the starter for next season, but of course the Ravens told Trent Dilfer to go home after he won the Superbowl.
Damaramu Posted December 29, 2003 Report Posted December 29, 2003 God I hated the Cowboys(still do) but I love Emmit Smith. I hope that the Cardinals drop him and he goes to a good team. I think Emmit can still pull out some good runs.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted December 29, 2003 Report Posted December 29, 2003 I fully believe that because of what Billick said about the replay system earlier in the year that the refs have something against him anytime he trys to challenge. I dont think hes had 1 play overturned, and that last lateral play should have been.
