The OAO Vikings/Rams Fans CRY Thread

Recommended Posts

As a diehard Eagles fanatic, I'd just like to point out two of today's great games:

Lions kick Ram ass. The St. Louis Shams are exposed and fail to defeat the lowly Lions, despite being "the greatest show" and one of the most overrated teams of the year. Fuck you, Bulger.:)

Minnesota spits in its fans faces. Nice of your team to LOSE TO THE ARIZONA CARDINALS when it was trying to clinch the divison. One of the greatest endings to a season ever. Favre was visibly crying from happiness/shock when your purple asshole choke-artists lost.

Just SO glad that Moss and the Rams got what they deserve.:)

Pfft. Rams fans have no reason to cry...they're the number 2 seed in the NFC, fer Christ's sake! I'm sure the Vikings would give their left arm to be right now.

As a Vikings fan, I'm not crying...the team showed no heart, and didn't deserve to make the playoffs, no matter what happened this weekend.

as a Pats fan I'd like to say who won in week 2?

If any team is over rated its the Eagles

The Vikings better start looking for an another receiver that can make the big plays and get some run blockers! And do not screw up the draft again by sending in the pick late!

I love the fact that they missed the playoffs.

They got so much hype early on for beating up on shitty teams and while they started 6-0 they still couldn't manage to get to the post season.

St. Louis has no chance of winning in Philly so they better hope that they lose in the divisional playoffs. I didn't think their chances of beating Philly at home were that great. The Rams commit too many turnovers, and Mike Moron would certainly find a way to lose.

As for Minnesota, they lost to the Cardinals, Raiders & Chargers this year. Pathetic. I really can't see them going anywhere for as long as Moss is on the team. He is too much of a cancer. Ditch him and pick up TO. He's an ass, but he is able to run routes and plays hard. Moss makes the offense too one-dimensional. WRs are too streaky to build your team around them to begin with.

I live in Minnesota and I gave up on the Vikings after the 98 season. I swear to God they are cursed.

I wouldn't say that they're cursed.

They have just never had any heart and lose to inferior teams in the playoffs because they think they're in the Super Bowl before the NFC Championship and are more focused on sponsorships than the game.

Yeah, cursed teams don't lose 41-0 to an inferior team in the league semifinals. Cursed teams would lose 40-38 on a ref's blown call and the most unlikely play you could think of.

Patriots defeated The Eagles in week 2.

Both teams are different. Eagles played like SHIT until what, week 7?

Congrats on your good season, Patriots...although only having ONE convincing win makes me suspicious. Brady will get thrashed by the Eagles D, depleted as it is.

Yeah too bad you know the Patriots have been playing better than then too. The Eagles will be lucky to not choke again this year and even if they make it the AFC team will crush them.

DOUBLE COVERAGE in the endzone. Cardinals catch it.

Remember on Married with Children...

"Cause Bud...if you lose to the Rams you get kicked out of the league..."

Send Minnesota to play basketball...what with their "explosive" offense and "high-flying" styles of play.

"Eagles crushed"...my ass.

This team has more heart than pussy New England. Sorry we can't play in the fucking snow and have 9-7 wins.

I hate Brady and anticipate him getting sacked by Simon and company...multiple times.

You mean beating Tennessee, Indy, Denver, Philly, Dallas, and Miami twice isn't good enough? Their the best-coached team in football and are well on their way to the title.

Bill Belicheck = Coach of SB champs

Andy Reid = Coach of NFC pro bowl team

Although, the NFC is so wide open, the Eagles may avoid their 3rd annual NFC championship collapse. Either way, Tom Brady won't be getting thrashed by the Eagle's D until 2007... maybe.

Lets see, the Pats beat your Eagles, the Cowboys, Titans, Colts, Dolphins twice, and Denver. All of those teams except for the Dolphins are headed to the Playoffs.

Pats also give up an average of 3.7 points a game at home.

Your Eagles blow and are over-rated, especially their Chunky Chicken Noodle Soup QB...wake up and realise they AINT WINNING SHIAT.

(By the way, playing like shit for 7 straight weeks isn't a good thing...and god knows they didn't play well in that loss to the 49ers a couple weeks ago too) "We only played like shit for half the season...WE ROCK!!!"

Hey jackass, last time I checked it SNOWS IN PHILLI...you aren't in fucking Tempe Arizona shit-head.

I guess blowing out shitty teams though is better than any win against good teams headed into the playoffs.

Well, I heard the same thing two years ago. How the Rams would kill whoever came out of the AFC. Didn't quite work out that way...

It's all up to the Football Gods...

I don't predict anyone in the Super Bowl because now it is elimination. You could say something like the Seahawks can't advance because they can't win on the road... but if you look at the games they have lost they lost to Baltimore in OT 44-41 (where the ref's blew the call), St. Louis 27-22, Cincinatti 27-24, Green Bay 35-13 and Minnesota 34-7.

They have played relatively well on the road save for against GB and when they never recovered against the Vikings.

Then you look at the Ravens and they lost 5 out of 8 games on the road which is only 1 game less than the Seahawks and no one gets on them about their road record even though they lost to Oakland 22-10, St. Louis 33-22, Cincinatti 34-26, Pittsburgh 34-15 and Miami 9-6.

Also Frigid and UTSHU need to keep the flaming out of this folder.

Since its all related to the subject you can piss off, nobody is forcing you to read this.

If anything the mods can move this thread to Hardcore Discussion since the topic outright shows its gonna cause shit.

I certainly never said that. I just thought that New England couldn't beat them. Pittsburgh or Oakland easily could.

The NFC this year is weaker than the AFC in 2001. The Eagles are good and the Packers have been coming on strong, but everybody else limped into the playoffs. If neither Green Bay or Philly (or possibly Dallas, but unlikely) makes the Super Bowl, just hand it over to the AFC champion. Carolina has shown me nothing, and Seattle & St Louis have no chance.

The teams to watch in the AFC are New England, Baltimore & Denver. If the Colts get hot, they could be a challenge, but it looks like another late season meltdown for them based on how they have performed the last couple of weeks. Kansas City can't stop the running games of any of the wildcard teams (it would be hilarious to see Jamal run against them), and the Titans just don't have enough talent to hang with the big boys (McNair can't do it all).

With the exception of the red hot Packers and the turnover crazy Rams, look for the teams with good running games and good defenses. New England's lack of a running game concerns me, and would be their downfall if they lose, but they appear to be far and away the best team right now. The only team I can truly see beating them is Baltimore. They are not as good, but if it came down to a single game and they got a good performance from Wright they would be fearsome. They would be the last team I would want to face if I was on one of the teams with higher seeds.

I fear Denver more than Baltimore personally because they have a mobile QB who can hit his recievers...along with 2 1/2 good backs and a strong Def. They also have Ratahann who at times will get his players to play dirty in order to achieve.

Clarification: When I said "everyone" had the Rams winning 2 years ago, I didn't mean the board. I was talking more like the "experts". Anyhow, it's Any Given Sunday.

Nobody knows who wins the super bowl until Feb. 1.

The 'experts' tend not to be much more knowledgable than us. They almost always pick the favourite, and if they do go out on a limb it is often a stupid pick like Buffalo over New England or something. Several on this board, including myself, saw the Chiefs losing to the Bengals a month in advance, but the 'experts' were caught off-guard for the most part. These are the same guys who picked Oakland to win the Super Bowl last year, when anyone with half a brain could see how dominant Tampa was at the time.

No, nobody knows who will win the Super Bowl, but it is generally pretty easy to pick out the contenders (New England, Baltimore, Denver, Indianapolis, Green Bay, Philadelphia, Dallas) from the pretenders (Seattle, St Louis, Kansas City, Carolina, Tennessee). Tennessee, Dallas & Indianapolis are sort of bordeline teams, but the others are firmly entrenched in their respective categories.
