Guest Salacious Crumb Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 You HAVE to look at the positives. Tennessee won with their best player playing his worst game in 2 YEARS. Its not all about McNair. And JOHN F'N GRUDEN just said they had a shot at being Champions. So..... Everyone talked about how the Patriots wouldn't beat the Steelers or Rams and the Buccs were supposed to lose to the Eagles and Raiders. A good portion of the posters on this board are more accurate than the ESPN "experts".
ANKLELOCK Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 Um..........................KC lost 45-20 to the VIKINGS at home. The Vikings?
The Ghost of bps21 Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 Yeah...but Seattle manned up and won on the road when they had to. Even if they don't make it far into the playoffs...I can't imagine anyone being disapointed. Great young QB, Great Young RB, Great Young Recieving Corp... The Seahawks will be around the playoffs for a while.
KingPK Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 If I was Billick, I would RAIL against Orlando Brown in the locker room. Fucking nimrod. I guess when he lost his sight he lost a few brain cells with it. And I don't know if McNair is going to last against another physical defense next week (if they go to Foxboro). He and George aren't looking to good right now.
Guest FrigidSoul Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 The bottom line: If we play KC, I think we win. If we play NE, there is no hope. At least you aren't in denial And I'd like to thank Mad Dog for that post about how some posters here are smarter than the so called "experts" as he was clearly talking about me. Mad Dog is my Sean Salisbury. hehehe
Kahran Ramsus Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 Carolina should win this game. Of course, I seem to recall saying that earlier in the season too.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 Carolina better win this game. There's only one thing in football I hate more than the Cowboys...and it's Bill Parcells.
Guest FrigidSoul Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 Carolina should win this game. Of course, I seem to recall saying that earlier in the season too. I'm just glad this game is the primetime one since I really don't care about it and I have a feeling its going to be one of those days where I'm only awake for about 6hrs (I can feel meds and bed coming about real soon)
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 Carolina better win this game. There's only one thing in football I hate more than the Cowboys...and it's Bill Parcells. Amen.

He's better than Mike Moron in St Louis. Dan Snyder is high on my enemies list as well. Don't forget Rob Johnson & Wade Phillips either.
Guest FrigidSoul Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 Since when is Gene Simmons a Cowboys fan? Oh dear god...Madden...yup, its going to be an early night for me
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 Since when is Gene Simmons a Cowboys fan? Oh dear god...Madden...yup, its going to be an early night for me My 2 most hated announce teams back to back. I must've died and gone to hell. Maybe not. Randy Cross would have to make an appearance for that.
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 Damn, I was praying for the Ravens to win.. damnit. I actually wanted the Ravens to win but these Baltimore fans flushed that down the toilet for me. I ended up taking bets from all comers today because all the "fans" KNEW the Ravens would win. My girlfriend is mad at me because she was one of those "fans" and I'm rubbing it in that the Ravens lost.
CanadianChris Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 I need Carolina to win to avoid going to the scorecards in kkk's contest.
Dr. Tom Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 Four words of comment on that first game: Fuck You Orlando Brown I hope Ray Lewis gouges his fucking eyes out in the locker room. Stupid piece of short-tempered shit. Do that playground bullshit in the preseason, not with the season on the line, you fuckhead. It's a shame he wears that visor... I was hoping the first flag would hit him in his other goddamn eye.
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 I would actually blame the loss on the lack of a credible QB instead of on Orlando Brown. The Titans turned the ball over and committed penalties but Eddie George was able to get yards because the Ravens had to respect McNair. Jamal Lewis rushed for 20 yards because the Titans didn't respect Anthony Wright.
Guest FrigidSoul Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 Orlando Brown will be the scapegoat but they had more go wrong for them than just his 2 penalties.

Jamal Lewis rushed for 20 yards because the Titans didn't respect Anthony Wright. It was a mixture of things. Orlando Brown didn't help things and will be the scapegoat, he deserves it. But Billick is a numbnut when it comes to play calling. He started the game gun slinging when that's not what his team is supposed to do. The holding calls from other linemen didn't help either. The refs also had some really bad non-calls that screwed the Ravens as well.

Jamal Lewis rushed for 20 yards because the Titans didn't respect Anthony Wright. Fuck that noise. Wright made the plays he needed to make. Brown's penalty was 15 fucking yards on the goddamn game-winning drive. Instead of starting at the 22, the Titans started at the 37. They only needed to "drive" about 30 yards at that point, and you don't need to be the recipient of many Sean Salisbury blowjobs to lead a team 30 yards in a minute of play. Wright played the game he needed to play, but Brown's absolutely fucking stupid, bush-league penalty late in the game is what lost it for the Ravens. Fuck, ONE more yard backwards and Anderson's raggedy-ass kick doesn't clear the crossbar, never mind fifteen. In short: fuck you, Orlando Brown. He is now the Jeff Weaver to my Anglesault.
Dr. Tom Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 But Billick is a numbnut when it comes to ball calling. He started the game gun slinging when that's not what his team is supposed to do. The holding calls from other linemen didn't help either. The refs also had some really bad non-calls that screwed the Ravens as well. Matt Cavanaugh calls the offensive plays, not Billick. They needed to establish the pass to get the Tennessee defense to cheat against it. You can't run the ball when you're looking at 8-9 men in the box all the time. Coming out throwing forces the Titans to respect the pass, which means the safeties play back off the line farther, which gives JAMAL~! more room to run. Of course, the Ravens didn't call too many running plays in the second half, when it was clear that establishing the pass was starting to work. As someone who's watched every Ravens game, I'm used to non-calls. Todd Heap gets held or interfered with on almost every play, and it's rarely called. That was a horrible non-call against him on that pass play over the middle. And then Tennesse false starts, and the Ravens' D gets flagged for delay of game? WTF? Billick needs to rant on the officials again.
CanadianChris Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 And then Tennesse false starts, and the Ravens' D gets flagged for delay of game? WTF? Billick needs to rant on the officials again. That's the call when the defense induces the offense to false start. That's what the officials called.

CanadianChris Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 OH MAN!! What a run by Steve Smith...and Parcells will not be happy with all those missed tackles.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 70 yd. play for the Panthers. Cowboys defense looks a little off so far.
Guest FrigidSoul Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 Billick needs to rant on the officials again. That's why the officials fuck over the Ravens for the most part already (except for that one officiating team that thought it would be a good idea to stop the clock for the Ravens without charging them a time-out thus helping them beat Seattle)
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 I think the final count for the evening: Co-MVP mentions: 20-30 times, alternated between calling him McNair and the Co-MVP. Mention of the no.1 Rush Defense: 20+ times
