Serious Issue with Stats!!!

Recommended Posts

Would people PLEASE DESCRIBE THEIR MOVES!!

Not all of us know what a Guillotine Leg Drop is...and I certainly don't know what a Crossface Halo is. And what the fuck is a Styles Clash? Please don't assume that all of us are smarks and know what the damn moves are. I'm not going to be able to write my match against MVS because I don't know what any of the moves in his stats are.

You could just ask Thugg.

If moves are descirbed it's because their common knowledge, mainly from WWE guys.

If people are wrong, it probably only takes one person asking and they'll put a description up next time.

Give me a list of what needs a desc if it's that bad.

Guillotine Leg Drop - Leg Drop from the top.

Styles Clash - Get them up for a piledriver and let them slide down a bit. Step over their arms and jump forward, in order to put them flat onto their stomach.

Crossface Halo - Take the opponents arms and cross them in front of their face, in order to form an X. Jump back and take the opponent down with you into an Edge-O-Matic type finish.

Styles Clash pic. It's of bad quality, but you should get the idea - http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-4/1463...StylesClash.jpg

Crossface Halo vid, from Shane Helms' site - http://home.att.net/~thehurricane/xfacehalo.avi

The problem is that when I'm ready to write my match, I have to try and find people to tell me what their moves are. I can't rely on the fact that people will be around to tell me. Also, I can't get the moves wrong or I will lose the match.

I understand that common WWE moves aren't described, but people aren't putting down "Rock Bottom", they're saying Cross Back Tiger Black Under Driver '99...and while that might mean Rock Bottom, I don't know that. Hell, I don't even know more than half of the WWE finishers. It's just a lot easier if people put a brief descriptions of their moves. Not like belly to belly or DDTs, but if you're gonna do a leg drop off the top rope...then call it a fucking leg drop off the top rope. And if you're gonna call it a Guillotine Leg Drop, then also put down Leg Drop from the Top Rope.

As for other moves I need...well, basically, I need MVS's entire Signature and Finisher set. I have no idea what 95% of that stuff is. Usually X is around to tell me, but he's not right now. It's just annoying to always have to find someone to know how to write someone else's character.

Also, uhhhh...is that Styles Clash a submission? I can't access that image because the site has reached its usage limit.

Well, Thugg, if it makes you feel any better, your latest bitch session has made me take a closer look at my stats... I think that most of my moves are either well-described or pretty self-explanatory, but I will happily add description if there is anyone who doesn't know what the following moves are:

Corkscrew Vertical Suplex

Asai Moonsault

Gamengiri

Senton splash

Backflip Kick

Tag Team moves:

Double leg-whip powerbomb

Slingshot into Blockbuster

- Van Slaminator

Stick your head between the opps legs (like their going to powerbomb you) Grab legs and stand up, so they are hanging down your back by their legs. Sit down, dropping them on their head.

- Russian Roulette (Test Drive as in SD4/5)

Set up fro a Reverse DDT, swing over them holding their neck and drop into a Diamind Cutter (RKO)

- Code Red

Set up from a DDT, turn arond and drop an elbow on the back of their head, taking tehm to the mat.

Finishers:

- Riot Act

Styles Clash as desced (set up for piledriver, set your arms over the opps legs) then drop to your knees.

- Cardinal Sin Clutch.

Sit on their back like a Camel Clutch. Grab their arms and cross them over their throat, choking them with their own arms.

That all of it Thugg?

Riot Act sounds an awful lot like a Tombstone.

And yeah WC, I don't know the following:

Corkscrew Vertical Suplex

Gamengiri

Tag Team moves:

Double leg-whip powerbomb

Slingshot into Blockbuster

Da "thanks" H

The Roit Act is only like a Tombstone in that you fall to your knees. They opp faces out from you (opposite to a Tombstone) and your legs are hooked over their arms

OOOOOOHHHHHHH!!

Now I got it!

So, why in the hell does MVS have both that as a finisher and that Styles Clash move? Seems like a waste cause why would you do the Styles Clash one when you could hit your finisher?

Eh. VillagePhotos is sucking a big one lately, which is why the pic isn't showing up.

SS is right. It's definitely not a submission. The 'technical' term is actually a front-face pancake, or front-face piledriver if you will.

Anyway... Explanations are forthcoming, although MVS wouldn't even be able to lift you up for some of these...

Van Slaminator (A back-to-belly piledriver, set up countless ways. Is potent enough to put you down for the three, but usually isn't used as such.)

Often, the attacker ducks head down between the victim's legs, and lifts him up so that their stomach and back touch. Holding the victim's legs, the attacker drops to his knees, spiking the victim's head into the canvas.

Crossface Black (A Crossface Halo, done onto the knee. Often set up very slowly, and very cockily)

Explained.

Russian Roulette (Test Drive)

I assume you've seen this, but just to be on the safe side, the attacker gets the opponent into an inverted facelock, as if going for a reverse ddt. The attacker then spins quickly to his side, with the end looking similar to a Diamond Cutter.

Code Red (Van Siclen gets his opponent into DDT position, only instead of DDTing them, comes around like the Eye of the Hurricane or the Final Cut and grabs his opponent by the hair, forcing their face into the mat. Can be done off a ladder or onto a chair as an alternate finisher.)

Again, from Shane Helms' site - http://home.att.net/~badstreetboys/media/h...helmsstreet.avi

Just imagine the opponent looking down toward the mat instead of up toward the sky.

Guillotine Leg Drop (Minor character point: This move is sometimes referred to as the Van Siclen Guillotine.)

Explained.

Red Light (Swinging Crossface Halo, often done to halt an opponent's momentum. The crowd loves this move, shouting out "STOP!" as the opponent hits the mat. Van Siclen, being the showboat (and Electric Six mark) that he is, will stand up about five seconds later and respond with a loud "CONTINUE", often garnering a pop)

Explained.

Moonsault

Powerbomb

Obvious.

Finishers:

- Riot Act (Styles Clash, only instead of jumping forward Van Siclen falls to his knees. This is more likely to get the pin than the Van Slaminator, making it his preferred pinfall finisher.)

Explained.

Cardinal Sin Clutch (Gokuraku Clutch. Tap to this sumbitch.)

Cross-armed choke. Again, set the opponent up so that their arms are crossed in front of their face. Proceed to sit on their back and pull back on the arms.

Edit: Dammit. Beaten to the punch.

And the gamengiri is just a standing enziguiri. As in, there's no leg catch involved.

Corkscrew Vertical Suplex

Pick up like a suplex, then spin around as you drop back to the mat.

Gamengiri

Enzuigiri to the face (jumping roundhouse kick to the face)

Double leg-whip powerbomb

Opp is down on their back. Each man grabs a leg and sets their leg around it, sort of like their going for a sharpshooter. Both men then do a forward roll, causing the opp to be snaps over from the mat and onto their back.

Slingshot into Blockbuster:

The opp gets slingshotted/catapulted. As they do, Johnny dives off the top rope, flipping through the air, cathcing them with a neck breaker.

Blockbuster = Overcast (or Overcastle in HCTP)

Didn't feel like waiting for you to come online to answer a PM. Easier to consult those that are online. Also, you're not the only person that doesn't describe their stats. So, I wanted to make a point.

Thugg secretly wants the Memphis Eel to fight every card. That's a move set he can understand.

Just to fuck with people I always like to find the most fucking obscure name I can find for something and then when people don't know what it is, get on them for not knowing that a Rocker Dropper is a Famouser.
